I suppose we don't have a thread on this exactly - I know we have a thread on Round 1 and the NAB Cup but given the fixture comes out on Wednesday, might as well have a thread.

So what we know...

NAB Cup Round 1

Friday, February 22
Etihad Stadium
Pool 4

Melbourne
North Melbourne
Richmond

NAB Cup Round 2

Sunday, March 3
Renmark, South Australia

Melbourne Vs Port Adelaide

NAB Cup Round 3

Saturday, March 9
Casey Fields

Melbourne Vs St Kilda

2013 AFL Premiership Season

CONFIRMED
Round 1, 2013
Sunday, March 31
Melbourne Vs Port Adelaide (MCG)

NOT CONFIRMED BUT SHOULD OCCUR
Round 9, 2013
Carlton V Melbourne (MCG) - it says in the Herald Sun that Carlton will have a block from round five onwards that include GWS, Gold Coast, Port and Melbourne, expect Melbourne to be in round nine tying in with our three game membership giveaway

Round 10, 2013
Essendon V Melbourne (MCG) - see above

Round 11, 2013
Monday, June 10
Melbourne V Collingwood (MCG) - Queen's Birthday match up

The rest are variables at this stage. We should be playing at least one of West Coast, Fremantle, Geelong or North Melbourne twice, given that we are not going to play 2012's top four twice. GWS twice wouldn't be so bad but I'm not holding out for it. Richmond twice is a given.

Apparently we won't have a Friday night game this year.

Though I doubt it and I'm hoping not.

That's what I heard too, us and Footscray.

For Round Two by the way, we play one of these sides - Collingwood and Carlton play, as do Geelong and North and apparently Sydney play West Coast and Hawthorn play St Kilda, leaving these sides...

Adelaide
Brisbane
Fremantle
Gold Coast
GWS
Richmond
Footscray

I'd be willing to say we potentially play either Richmond or Footscray BTW

If we play Port Adelaide and Footscray in the first 2 rounds we have a good chance of winning our first 2 games. It has been a long time since that has happened

Port and GWS too, and probably the Gold Coast too.

I think we'll be playing them at Metricon this season though, we haven't played them there as yet in a premiership season match...

Not fussed when we play to be honest, as long as we improve on last year we could be playing Tuesday arvo for all I care.

If we can get some regular Saturday games rather than lots of Sunday ones I'll be happy with that though.

We played gold coast at metricon in 2011 and beat them by 90 points didn't we?

Was the win Vs Essendon a Friday or Saturday night?

Saturday. We had one friday night against Hawthorn this year and four Saturday nights against St.Kilda, Essendon, Fremantle and Port Adelaide.

I'm hanging for the draw to come out on Wednesday. I get married on Sat, April 6th, which is round 2. (I'm a teacher so getting married in the holidays makes sense.) I love Saturday games but I'll be shattered if we play that Saturday as I haven't missed watching a Dee's game for over 10 years!

I missed one game this year; guess which one that was?

Locked and loaded for AFL live online..

Will fly back to oz in August for a game next year. Hopefully we host Essendon at the G, would love to come back for a win!

Surely you get married on the weekend two weeks before holidays, set off for the honeymoon for two weeks and have a 4 week holiday?? ;)

I missed the Essendon game also as I was at my cousin's wedding in NSW that weekend. Typical really.

LOL I got married on April 6th 2002.....

Who do you guys expect we'll play twice? Will we be playing a top eight side twice at all?

I expect we play Richmond twice, perhaps GWS/Port twice, and hopefully Essendon twice. If we play a top eight side twice I think it will be a West Australian side and I wouldn't rule out the possibility of a night match at Simonds either

Scratch Richmond out of this equation and add in Hawthorn, the Herald Sun has stated that St Kilda will probably be playing Richmond in round two.

Hope we don't play the Hawks...

I want to play a home game against Geelong. I'm sick of playing them at Kardinia park year in year out. It's a shocking ground for opposition supporters.
