2013 Memberships

Hi Guys,

Sorry if there is already a thread for memberships 2013. However I just wanted to know if anyone can enlighten me on the details for purchasing memberships.

I recently bought my son a baby magpie membership for season 2013.

When does this get sent out and why don't they require a name and age for the membership to go in? I only had to give my details as well as address. I found it quite odd. I emailed the club about it and have not heard anything and that was Friday last week. It has been paid for but still have not received any correspondence at all apart from the receipt.

Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not sure what the deal is with not needing the name and age, so I can't help with that. But looking at my receipt for the new membership, it says my membership gear should show up between 14-21 days after October 21st (the day of my first payment, so that may vary for everyone else), so I guess expect it around mid November. As for emailing the club, I'm assuming they're getting a lot of mail at the moment so it may take a while for a reply to yours to surface. I'm not sure what its worth, but I haven't received any mail from Collingwood either apart from my receipt, so I guess they're still ironing out everything before the real drive kicks off.

I ended up hearing from the club earlier today. Also thanks to Megabob for your assistance and advice!

Everyone get on board and buy a membership for 2013! I have a feeling its going to be a BIG year!!!

On the topic of memberships, I generally renew mine pretty early, but hearing all the stories about members getting phone calls from Bucks and players (same goes for members of other clubs with their players and coaching staff) when they had not renewed, I think I'll be waiting for the last possible moment this time around to see if I can get a chat with Bucks!

On the topic of memberships, I generally renew mine pretty early, but hearing all the stories about members getting phone calls from Bucks and players (same goes for members of other clubs with their players and coaching staff) when they had not renewed, I think I'll be waiting for the last possible moment this time around to see if I can get a chat with Bucks!

Welp, I'll be holding out on my 2014 membership then.

Yeah I remember I got my 2012 membership package around mid november (2011), I was over the moon because I didn't get my 2011 package until about rd 12 of that season, I kept getting texts from the club all pre-season about how I should receive it within 7 days.

I am booking a flight to europe soon with emirates but I havent got my Collingwood membership yet (due to other circumstances). If the discount is decent I will look to hold off booking my flights until I get my membership.

I always book under my membership, its 10% so its definitely worthwhile. But you don't need to wait for your card.
Just ring the membership department and they will give you the passcode for the discount.

Do you know if you have to book through the Pie In the Sky travel or do you just get a promotional code to use on the emirates site?

Promotional password to use on the emirate site.

It's not very secure and you could technically give the password to anyone and give them the discount.

Singapore Airlines was still cheaper for me!

Depends on your destination + stopover + total journey. Sometimes fares that appear cheaper may have longer flight times, longer stopovers etc.. May work for some but time is money too

I had to take my 2013 Member sticker off my car. The edges came off and it was barely holding on
