I'm sure you also remember the many drivers who followed team orders and helped their team mate.

I get that it's competitive, they aren't paid to give way to drivers from other teams.

If a turd like Vettel can't follow team orders, what the hell is he doing in a two car team?
I'm sure he has enough money by now to start his own team.
Lol - I think you've missed the point.

I'm sure that there are many drivers who follow(ed) team orders, but as MWNN points out, I doubt they are a World Champion.

Massa is probably the only 'couldabeen' exception to this list.

Remember that time Webber got told not to try and pass Seb, and team orders were EVIL and VILE and HOW DARE THEY.

Now Seb gets told let Dan pass and he doesn't do so, one race after he lets him past immediately, and HOW DARE HE. The selfish sook, who does he think he is! He has a history of refusing! No forget Bahrain, he has a history!

Ah BF. The lulz never stop.

From memory Webber was faster that day too........

So team orders are good today? Okay. Just checking. It's hard to keep up. The BF opinion of team orders seem to change as regularly as the time.
At least its clear cut now that team orders are allowed so there is less dancing around the issue. Lets face it, we all will vary on our thoughts depending on the drivers involved though as we are human and have our favourites.

do people really whinge about team orders, they always have been and always will be part of the sport. berger helped senna, senna repayed him by allowing berger to win the japanese gp. coulthard let hakkinen through twice to allow him to win. even one of fangios team mates pulled over and allowed fangio to drive and win the championship in his teammates car, brock took over his brothers drive in the 25 car to allow him to win bathurst. there are hundreds of other examples too, it always has been and always will be part of the sport. as it should be, ridiculous to have a quicker driver, a driver on a different strategy, or a driver fighting for a championship to be held up by another driver in the same team, never understood people complaining about team orders.

If we're talking about the last 4 years of eff won, it isn't ridiculous. Take your mind back to British GP in 2010. The slower driver received the team orders.

Some real dribble getting posted in here, one big difference between Webber and Ricciardo, Riddiardo isnt at odds with Helmut Marko like Webber was reputed to have been.

A lot of people seem to forget about this. Given the role he has played in the Red Bull Driver Development Program it's in Dr Evil's interests to see Ricciardo succeed and keep doing what he has done so far.

Spot on, he has followed the same pathway as Vettel and does have that important backing.

So .... are they really building a brand new chassis for Seb, based on a hope that theres something wrong with the current car?

Nothing could go wrong here at all.

If I was Dan, I would request a chassis rebuild as well.

Vettel is getting a new chassis.

Sebastian Vettel is to be given a new chassis in an attempt to get on top of his early season struggles.

The reigning World Champion has struggled to adapt under the sport's latest regulation overhaul and recently admitted that new Red Bull team-mate Daniel Ricciardo has been outpacing him "fair and square".

"We don't understand why Vettel's tyre wear was so much higher than Ricciardo's," Helmut Marko, a long-time advisor for the Milton Keynes-based squad, is quoted as saying by German magazine Sport Bild.

"We are now investigating whether his chassis was a fault. When a new one is ready, he will get it."

If the chassis is not the cause, Marko admits that it could take a long time for Vettel to fully resolve his issues.

"This year is so complex that even the engineers don't understand everything," he said. "That makes it even harder for Seb to tune the car to his needs. But he is a perfectionist. He will tinker with it until he gets it right."

My take is that vettel was a genius at managing exhaust flow with the right foot to get the best use out of the blown diffusers, since they've been taken off this season he seems to be struggling.

Mind you I'm no martin brundle so take from my theory what you will

I think it's just a Vettel issue
Yes, its called no Webber. He relied on Webber and Webbers engineer to set the car up. If you remember Doohan, he use to complain about the Spanish who payed the bills giving all his testing data straight to criville.

I'd probably agree with this somewhat, in that everything I heard suggested that, while not the greatest driver of all time, Webber was well above average when it came to getting the car set up.
