Thoughts on this draft? I think this class has heaps of potential

Some AMAZING athletes and potential franchise players.

Andrew Wiggins, Jabari Parker, Julius Randle, Aaron Gordon, the Harrison brothers, etc, etc.

Interesting article on Wiggins: http://hardwoodhoopscentral.com/andrew-wiggins-the-hype-is-heating-up
Ask me again after a year of college when these guys aren't in the big fish little pond scenario.
From what I have seen Wiggins and Parker are absolute studs.
Austin Rivers was the highest rated High School player out of last seasons draft in the one and done guys, the highest recruited player in high school (stat I know via espn being a hornets fan)

That doesn't always translate to college level, yet their talent may better suited to an NBA level.

The pressure on these guys to perform is amazingly high

Wiggins is just an Athletic Freaks, Austin Rivers was just a very average athleticly shooting guard, the NBA/NCAA are different beasts.

Wiggins just looks very placid sometimes for someone so gifted athleticly. He bullies guys in HS without hitting second gear. He might find it a bit harder in College and he needs probably 1-2 years to iron out his game

Parker im not sure, He's definatly taken kids apart and doesn't rely on athletism to score, He takes what a defender gives him and dominates bigger guys in the post and Guards with his pull-up. He's a very intelligent player

You also have Vonleh who's that dreaded "Combo" guard, however can defend the 3/4 pretty well

James Young/Hezonja/Randle

I think this draft is special because for a few years we've been tight on guys at the 2/3 who are absolutly Elite Wing players, and BAM the first 6 picks will get some absolute studs at the wings

Also looking at the 2014 Mock Draft, Wang Zhelin is being predicted in the second round, Anyone who's seen him he looks like someones slapped the top half of Shawn Bradley ontop of Shaq

I really cannot find a picture to do it Justice,

Yes but my original point was in his high school class Rivers was the highest recruited. Yeah the NBA/NCAA are different beasts but high school doesn't always translate to either.

Pretty much man, His shot has not held up to the NBA, he also really needed to stay in at The lower levels and hammer out his glaring weaknesses (His shot is better off the dribble and his dribble is putrid in NBA level) and huis fundamentals are pretty unrefined. Footwork is god-awful as well. but this is another story

Shaping up (at this stage) as a lot better draft than this years.....where the top 4 are a shuffle and guys who will be perrenial bench players like Zeller get top 5 hype.

Concerns over Parkers fitness coming back from injury, but the only criticism on Wiggins is he looks relaxed.

Tank nation will be well and truely on next year.

How he's the son of an NBA player and coach is beyond me. Much less a product (limited) of Coach K.

Mechanics and fundamentals are yuck. Dominated HS with handle, got a lot harder to do when you have NBA size and speed guarding you.

Can't play the point, but needs to learn how.

Not to mention Dante Exum is meant to be in this class or the next as well...

He has a very weak side and not a reliable jumper which unless your Rondo no NBA club will touch you after a few high profile busts like the current point guard of the Melbourne Tigers

he needs to wait till 2015.

Unless he moves to the US and plays HS basketball for a year or so (like Ben Simmons has), he'd have to do four years of college wouldn't he? Like all other international scholarship guys?
Bogut only did two years at Utah, but he did move to the States I guess...

Exum hasn't done so thus far?

Yeah he really needs to go to the US to play at a higher level for any chance

Is Aquille Carr in the 2014 draft/will he even be drafted or will he be overlooked? <<< See what I did there

Exum recently visited IU. So I guess he has interest from some very good schools.

I'm expecting big things from both him and Simmons.

Simmons is another year off yeah?

Simmons has already moved he's playing for montverde academy in florida which is one of the top high school programs in the states.
So he will be in this draft class? I didn't think he was a high school senior until next year
