I'm going to sound like I'm 10 again and I've been getting into all my essendon mates about their hero worship of James ****ing Hird BUT I want SOS back at the club. I don't care if he is the highest aid boot studder in the history of world sport. The place has never felt the same without him.

I really want the club to make this work. Clearly define everyone's roles and the hierarchy and make sure everyone's on board.

The whole club will be walking taller with SOS around. I know I will and I'm a short ass.

Time to be a grown up again.

I agree. I love SOS and its been hard seeing him in other teams colours. The fact that he has become a quality list manager is a bonus and that he can step into that role with the clubs confidence he will do a good job. People say hes not proven cause GWS had all their concessions, but you got to remember SOS made every one of those selections count bar O'Rourke. His job selecting the 17 year olds pre draft is nothing short of an amazing strike rate with Cameron, Shiel, Trelor, Bugg, Hampton all being consistent performers in the 22. Sos knows how to build a list and i think he as List Manager and Rogers as Head Recruiter can form a deadly combination and bring carlton back up the ladder.

Even if SOS didnt have List Manager on his resume, bring people like SOS and Kouta the club legends who all of us grew up admiring back to the club does wonders for both club and supporter moral

Really tough without seeing what these guys have got but would love to see a coach with experience as a tall, if at both ends then even better. Someone who can teach our talls how to lead, position, use their bodies and approach contests as a few of our taller players haven't excelled in this area. Would prefer them as a development coach rather than a line coach. SOS, Carey, Jon Brown. I think our coaching structure is around the money, Ball you would think would be a good get. Brad Sewell is another player who I think has appeal. Wouldn't mind having a coach who was proficient as a small forward, another are we could be better at, some of our medium/small forwards need to do a hell of a lot of work in terms of what they are doing when the ball enters the forward line and isn't kicked to them, they need to learn to position and where to be to chase, create space and crumb, one guy who comes to mind is Johnson but there are others and they are more senior players too.
Hear hear, I've been calling for a KPP coach @ Carlton on other forums for a while now.
