I can see what you are saying but every player is capable of a 70 every now and then no matter what their value ( Besides Gazza!! ). If Judd remains injury free i cannot see a better 486k player with the upside he has.

Apparently he had a leg injury. Wish I'd known that before paying top dollar for him.

Re debate, Judd is a gun but he's risky in a sense that he's 'managed' too much. Too many niggles for that price...if he were 50k cheaper & could guarantee 20+ games he'd be a great pod m6 if that was your structure.

• Clancee Pearce (DEF, $278,900) – Without Crowley, it seems Ross Lyon’s lovechild has become Fremantle’s tagger. He spent a majority of the afternoon running off Kieran Jack. I’m saying it now – If Crowley isn’t selected round 1; Clancee will NOT line up in my team. 7 touches, 2 clearances and a tackle. 68% TOG and 30SC. Nope.

• Lachie Neale (MID, $468,900) – Had it on a string in the first half and finished the game with 33 touches at 66.7% efficiency, 6 marks, 9 clearances, 8 tackles and 3 inside 50’s – and 153 SC. Yes, there was no Barlow, but he looks like being a solid midprice option (if that’s what you’re looking for this year).

• Josh P. Kennedy (MID, $612,200) –Wet and windy game, ball in dispute – JPK in his element. Did what he does best – smashes into packs for the pill. Yes, he had too many handballs; but he still got it 33 times at 66.7% efficiency. Finished with 154 SC. Solid Keeper option.

• Michael Johnson (DEF, $468,500) –17 touches, 5 marks and 10 rebound 50’s. Disposal efficiency sat at 70.6% – considering the wet-weather aspect of the match was good. Ran off half-back and intercepted the ball well. If fit, a solid pick down back this year.

• Dane Rampe (DEF, $408,800) – Seems to be the better Malceski replacement. Ran off half back, and considering it was wet and windy, he used it very well. 17 touches at 76.5% efficiency, 2 marks, 5 R50’s and 2 I50’s.
• • Tom Mitchell (FWD/MID, $405,600) – Played wing/forward flank. 17 touches at 82.4% efficiency, 3 marks, 4 clearances and 4 tackles for 78SC from 71% TOG. Played OK. I’m not falling over myself to select him.
  • Lance Franklin (FWD, $537,200) – Granted it was wet and windy; but he had a turd of a game. He had 6 touches, 3 frees against and a goal. Had a typical KPF day. Subbed out at 3QT.
  • Isaac Heeney (MID, $137,300) – Had it 13 times, had 2 tackles, kicked a goal & set up a few more. Played mostly off the forward flank, and for $137k – if he can shirk the vest, he will be a nice bench option. Efficiency at 38.5% wasn’t that great. Didn’t unpick himself from my team.
  • Luke Parker (MID, $583,000) – Played in the guts, kicked a supergoal. Did nothing to make you think about not running him this year. 26 ouches at 57.7% efficiency, 6 clearances, 8 tackles & 3 inside 50’s. Finished with 144 SC. Solid game.
  • Stephen Hill (MID, $516,600) – Barely sighted. Had the ball 7 times at 57.1% efficiency, 2 clearances and 2 R50’s. Was he injured?
  • Brandon Jack (FWD, $150,500) – 1 ineffective kick to half time (a behind), finished with 4 touches at 75% efficiency. Don’t think he can break into the Swans outfit barring injury. Better options up forward at his price. 39% TOG
  • Gary Rohan (MID/FWD, $272,100) – Did some nice things, didn’t want to attack the ball and get in and tackle. Hesitated. Finished with 12 touches at 75% efficiency, 4 marks, 3 R50’s and 2 I50’s.
  • Garrick Ibbotson (DEF, $342,) – Fremantle’s 4th highest possession getter, having 15 touches. Good efficiency (80%) and 3 R50’s and 2 I50’s. 73SC from 71% TOG. Not horrible.
  • Nat Fyfe (MID, $657,800) – Only got 16 touches, but his presence around ground did the talking. Took some nice marks and kicked some great goals. 75% disposal efficiency, 4 marks, 7 hitouts, 3 clearances and 2.1. Solid game. 132 SC from 70% TOG.

DeGoey was disappointing today.

Karnezis typical Houdini act. These are the games where he needs to stand up and he did nothing. Not touching him.

A little harsh on Karnezis. He was played just about every position today. It's incredibly unlikely that will happen in the real season. Give him a permanent position and he'll do well.

It's a practice match. I wouldn't worry so much about the premos. Proven history tells us what to expect. It's the rookies that need to shine in these games.

In saying that a 66 from twelve touches isn't too bad, my only concerns with him this year are a. How much has that hand surgery affected him and b. If Buckley actually sends him up forward

I didn't see yesterdays game but the only questions I would have are :

What was his role?
How was his form/touch?
How much game time did he have?

I'm starting to wonder why I have Swan when I can have somebody like Steven, Neale or Swallow.
Let's face it, Swan will either scrub it up again and average 85-90, or he'll be good and go 95-102, he will not go 110+ again, if people are expecting that you should jump off
