The club has released its finalized VFL scratch match fixture. We play four games, the last two of which will be played on the same day that the seniors play in the real stuff.

- Saturday, March 14th vs Geelong at Kardinia Park, 12:00pm.

- Thursday, March 26th vs Richmond at Punt Road Oval, 5:30pm.

- Saturday, April 4th vs Casey at Olympic Park, 10:30am.

- Saturday, April 11th vs North Ballarat at Victoria Park, 12:30pm.

Note, there was originally a practice match scheduled to take place against Essendon at their Tullamarine base on March 21st, however this has now been scrapped. Good on the one hand, because it won't mean a trip out to Infractionland, but not so good on the other hand because it would have formed a double-header to the NAB Challenge match at Etihad against the Bulldogs later in the evening, for those who were maybe thinking of a full day out at the footy.

Entry to all games is free.

Funny the Peptide Bombers Wussed Out. Might not have enough players to Field a Team;)

The verdict is set to be handed down at about that time in March as well...

Bombers Players Threatened to not play IF they get days taken off

I'm not sure how you can threaten to not play in something you are suspended from playing in anyway, but Essendon logic...

Anyways, best focus on the practice games we do have. Will be a chance to see some of the lesser lights who don't get a run in the NAB series. Cox will make his debut in this fixture, for example...

Must have consulted Tony Armstrong before scheduling.
Will ease himself into the season with a full game and another half, then progress to the two full games the following week.

So the Essendon Game we where going to play is cancelled because they don’t have enough players

We won by Forfiet?

Though I loved the last game we played down there

Wasn't that the game Freeman suffered a season ending injury?

Not too much to love about that

To be fair to Essendon ... They can hardly pull out of the NAB cup (either voluntarily or compulsorily) and then have their seconds team turn up for practice games.

No, he's talking about VFL Round 19 last year.

Down by 16 points at three quarter time, we kicked 8 goals in the last quarter to power home and take the win (and in the process destroy Geelong's finals chances).

Jesse White, having done precious little all day on the ball as 1st ruck, gets switched to full forward at the start of the last and clunks everything that comes his way, kicking four goals in the final stanza. :)

Yeah, fair bit to love about that.

That is the game. Was best QTR Collingwood played all season and great to do it down at Kardina Park

I was about to post this fixture change actually.

The start time has been moved forward to 5:00pm instead of the original 5:30pm, and yes, we're going to be locked out.

Don't stress though Dave, Richmond did this with all their VFL practice matches last year. It's not just because they don't like us...

Still stupid to keep Public out.

What is Bloody Secretive about Punt Road.

Our Game vs Casey at Olympic Park is not closed or even out Vic Park Game

They don't want us to see their formula for how to come roaring back into the finals, only to get smashed out in week 1... :drunk:

But yes, silly to keep other teams fans out. Still, they can't move you on if you stand outside the fence on the footpath and watch from there...

Probably similar to Victoria Park (before upgrade).
Meeting 21st century building & public health & safety standards is no easy task for the grand old dames.

Richmond Train There and we had not been at Vic Park for quite a few years. So bit of a Difference
