The prices of all Ablett, Crouch, Jaegar and Libba make you think twice about picking any of them. I still think Libba and Gaz are locks. Im not sold on Crouch or Jaegar going much more then 95 which isnt enough

Crouch is more a stepping stone though, you don't pick him in hopes of him being a keeper, if anything he is underpriced and will generate you cash, while still pushing out 80-100+ scores a week, which for a starting team is great for a midpricer. Obviously a lot of unknowns with him, but he is too good a price to risk not starting IMO.

Although in saying that if i had to only pick one of the 3 mid pricers would be Libba 100%. But at this stage im looking to have 2 out of Libba/Crouch/JOM as i think thats the way i want my mid structure to look.

Must admit i havnt looked at structure and strengths of all positions yet as not all prices/positions have been revealed.

Id rather get that 20 point avg increase on a guy priced far cheaper as id seem them more likely to attain that and even more.

Im not ruling him out but im certainly not sold

580k is a lot of money for someone who only played 6 games last season and who also had their 2014 season finished because of injury. Even if his name is Gary Ablett.

Once I found out his price I was originally thinking of waiting and seeing how he starts the season but then I realized the Suns have Essendon, Carlton and Brisbane in three of their first four games. Very undecided at this stage.

At this stage it would be Ablett and Crouch for me and I'll check out Libba but Jaeger is a return from an ACL he will take longer to hit top form.

Going to be interesting how all the half backs and midfielders fit in at goldcoast.

Prestia, Ablett, Swallow, Jaegar, Rosa, Kolo, J.Martin, A.Hall, Malceski, Saad and Trent the cannon Mckenzie.

Few guys will be playing different roles.

They also have guys like Shaw not included but seen in most best 22 from their fans

I think our half-backs will be pretty settled with kk, Saad, and Malceski, with one of Harbrow/Swallow/maybe Mckenzie down there from time to time. So kk would be a fairly safe bet you would think. Not sure if Mckenzie will fit in or where he would fit. Rocket has said Swallow is looking to expand his game and will get more minutes across half-back/half-forward which you would think will affect the amount of time in the middle.

But our midfield is a tough one with so many rotating through, so Im not sure how much midfield time JOM will see early, which makes me question whether or not he is worth picking. Besides him GAZ, Prestia, Swallow, Rischa, AHall, Hallahan/Lonergan will get most of the midfield minutes.

But, yeah. NAB Challenge will probably give a better indicator :).

Gary's price is such a troll.. 581... when he averaged 94 last yer. What a ******* joke. Rockliff is cheaper than him.

Its good

Every man and his dog starts with him priced @94

However now with his actual price of roughly ~105 some may reconsider.

Its good the same with Wells, Kerridge, Thomas, Crouch, Liberatore. Less will be starting with them now than what there wouldve.

We want uniqueness in the comp not the same 30's from everyone. Ideally you want players priced at an amount that not only reflects their ability but almost makes it a 50/50 call as such before any NAB games.

Afl Fantasy have done that more this year. Which is impressive and deserves gratitude as its aiming at the top coaches not the every day joes. The every day Joes want it easy and to have fun. The top coaches want 50/50 decisions and to back their football knowledge and fantasy strategy smarts in.

Remember we're all on a level playing field.

Matt or Brad Crouch is an interesting choice? Brad is the better player but Matt may not get as much attention and could rack up more points.

Any Thoughts?

Both are good but Brad by a country mile. Start with Brad, he is a star in the making.

What are peoples thoughts on Mitch Duncan. Already have Libba and B Crouch as value mids and thought that Mitch might be a value add player this year as well.

I am have added Mitch. He will go back to his outside role drifting forward for a goal..Sidebottem of 2 years ago.with PD and jelwood funnelling ball out to the runners he can be anything if injuries are kind

who are the possible rookie cash cow mids?

I'd be interested on the thoughts on Crowely at $226k. Sure he's a tagger but he can also get the ball himself.

Will Woosha play a young kid as a tagger to help develop someone else and just play Crowely as a mid to provide a bigger bodied inside presence to protect other developing yongster. Crowley also has a knack of pinching a goal or two.

At $226k you know he's going to get a game and could go up $100k and be a good cash cow and upgrade after 5 weeks to a decent mid who has started to season lacking fitness and has dropped a bit.

I can see the likes of Joel Selwood and J Redden starting the season lacking fitness, dropping $50k before they gain some match fitness.

This is the key in Fantasy, pick the cash cows early and upgrade to those elite mids after these have dropped a bit because they were behind in the fitness stakes early on in the season but come good after 6>8 rounds.

If you don't have Duggan as a mid / forward your not paying attention. $250k and is having a good preseason after 12 games last season. Did a PCL and sat out the last third of 2015 but is training well.

Can anyone from Norths tell us how Anderson is travelling?

i read somewhere that crowley would get some key lock down jobs but would also be free to chase the pill on occasions...
