Big day for the Monds kicking 60 to 7 goals in both games, the Friars struggling for numbers but tried hard. The Ormond depth is showing, but the injury list is growing

Fact 1: today was not a good day for the Friars in any way shape or form.

Fact 2: in round 17 last year we got hammered by Therry Penola by a combined 57.28.370 to 8.10.58. We could only field 13 registered players in the twos that day and played 3 unfit registered "ring ins". I thought it couldn't get any worse than that.

Fact 3: today we were creamed by a total of 60.31.391 to 7.8.50. We had the president coming out of retirement to help out, but there are 9 rounds to go and the season is looking longer by the day. I was wrong about Fact 2.

Fact 4: I am rather inebriated at the moment and intend to get totally smashed tonight.

Good day for the OGGS. Solid 6 goal win at Old Mentone with Wood out. 2s won by 40 with no players on the bench. Unders smashed the Monders at Como to retain top spot. Clubbies got done by 100 though...

Ever thought you might be taking a park competition a tad too seriously? :)

Nope - we had our ball last night, and there were more than a few lads a touch concerned with how the club was travelling. So I am not on my own in being frustrated and getting heinously pissed.

If there was a genuine prospect of the club heading for extinction then I'd understand your concern. Any likelihood of that is so remote as to not be in prospect I'd suggest.

Short of that prospect, sweating over results that make you bitterly disappointed - well that's sweating the small stuff in my book.

Forgive me for wanting my old boys club to not become another Aquinas (apologies). Similar geographical positioning, similar lack of senior success, and this year even our u19s are only just hanging in there.

The EFL just screws us over with their promises of $$$ for 18 year olds and it's bloody annoying to see so many of my school mates playing elsewhere when we could be so much better than we are.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like seeing any VAFA club in distress. I'd be very confident your club will rebound.

Think it was only last year Marcellin was in some difficulty. Know the Monders tipped in some cash to assist. And they aren't a wealthy club.

My take out from watching SMS V BT is that BT are a very different proposition with Kristian Cherbakov back in the side. They will trouble more teams now with him back in, others fending off relegation may be concerned by his return to the side.

Agreed. Easily on par with Brazzale from Kew. The difference being Kew have Maibaum and a dozen others capable of kicking goals, BT rely almost solely on Cherbakov, he's good but not good enough to carry a forward line by himself.

I know this is a big prediction but I think the Monds will be far too good for Kew this week and a 9 goal margin is my tip. I hear 3 big names up for selection this week....

Cherbakov isn't close to as good as Brazzale. You only have look at their respective results to realise that.. Yes, Brazzale is currently surrounded by better players but he has been dominant for 5 years straight now.

Looking forward to seeing big Mal Michael finally get on the park for Ormond!

Don't think Ormond will have the fitness or youth to get over a team like Kew

Kew will razzle dazzle brazzale them.
Kew by 24pts.
Saw Kew against St Marys. If the Monders aren't too adversely affected by injuries they would have them covered IMO.
You've got me beat, would love to know who the 3 are

Stop asking embarrassing question mate.;)

Mate you'd be surprised. Theyre both serious guns. I'm the first person to jump on the Brazzale train and this Cherbakov bloke would match him playing in a kew side. Both way too good for D1.

Talk about dé·jà vu. Pretty much what Hedge Fund said at the beginning of the season. Nine wins later..........

Lot of youth now running around in the Ormond ones.
