Not much there to be honest rather go after 22 year old mid from Gold Coast

Id rather go after a young defender who's brother just re-signed a 2 year deal with us….

Is it.... would you like a 6pack for free or you would just prefer to pay for the slab?

Sidebottom , Schofield and Rich would be worth considering depending on how 2016 goes.

Of course if you have the money to buy the slab , its party time.

Sure Daz but its going to take a drastic change in our trade mindset for that to happen. We will have no picks to trade for him. I still wouldn't rule out them being united in red. Have a look at our best22. Very hard to fit all in.

Lonergan will be gone for Kolo's last contract year. There will be no drama with trying to fit him in.

It was more a point of whom I value up there than a reflection of whom is obtainable - although these days never say never. I guess if he wanted out and picked us….. and has an ordinary year…. maybe gets dropped…

But yes, a long shot at best and no real powder dry if it came up.

Firstly I do not want to lose him... but what we have done by bringing LH before others are done is put pressure on his position. Are you willing to bet he plays 10 AFL games this year.
In 12 months time who knows what we will be willing to give up is we are chasing another class mid.

I will take that bet that he will play more than 10 AFL games.
He did sign for two years knowing Henderson was coming and Lonergan will be playing next year. After receiving generous offers, including to join his brother.

Free Agency is the only way we are bringing a decent player in. Hope we have enough cash to splash. Not sure what we would target though.

Throw the sink at Rich, just to say F U for West, Bundy, Jansen, Walker and whoever they try pinch next year...

That's what I don't like about the RFA/FA system it can screw players and clubs, bring back the 10 year rule if we have to have anything.

Rich seems the most likely to be on the move from the list..

More likely to be the other way I feel. As I see it comp is under pressure..it will go. he argument that SC room is comp only works if there is a greater liquidity in the FA market. Lets say this year no one gets comp.. and there is no matching. Danger comes to us but which FA could the Crows chase. Not many FA's on his type of money. But if there more available maybe you could grab 2 lesser players.

It reduces the value of picks further when most teams don't get value form a drafted player for 2-4 years. Im not sure where it all ends ..there will be a re-balance im sure.

Would be a great get.

Well if it's to hard to fit them all in, lets trade some and get those picks we need to trade for him

and thats what im saying we may trade somebody... and it maybe somebody we like... cause they will have the most value. If we really look at mids next year... where else can we create a trade from. Look at our best 22 ..and some players are just not getting close to a game..some have moved further away with these recent additions.

Who on that list would make us a better side? That's what we need to contemplate. Schofield? Goldstein? Sidebottom?

The latter two you can count out as they'd only move for the money and both Nth and Collingwood would match any offer made from Geelong and we simply don't have the currency to trade, nor would we offer what they'd want to move. Watch the Hawks move the world for Goldstein.

Anyway, I'm still recovering from this period and next year is a long way out.

I wonder if we could finish with a floating SC ie extra $$$ in the cap for the traditional draft players on your list reducing by x$$ for each RFA/FA you bring in.The extra $$ helps you retain your investment and the reduction per FA would self regulate the number of FA you would have and spread them around more clubs.

If he wanted to leave and nominated Geelong than i'm sure we would also move the world.

We don't have the currency and wouldn't pay what it would take to convince him to leave.

I'm hoping Lewie Taylor decides he's had enough up North.
