Zerrett wow. Was so close to bringing him in this week but opted for the cheaper Fantasia in defence instead.

This is like the first weekend in 3 weeks where I'm going somewhere above 1850-1900 and have dodged most of the carnage.
 
Okay.. so regardless of zerrett's (c) shocker today. Still ended up with 1967 and went up in ranking. Not too mad now

Looks like 2025. Kept Barlow.....tick. Kept De Goey.....tick. Very happy with Shaw, Adams, Wines, MAX GAWN!, Kerridge.

Sadly I had poor Nat Fyfe as Captain. Bought him in this week. With that happening pretty glad I got a solid score.

Unhappy with Dea, R Gray, B Kennedy, Wells.

Have to trade out Nat...lots of thinking to do!

Got Fyfe this week as well, liking swapping him straight to Sidey/Pendles after they found some form today.
 
2130 This week, back to back top 500 weekly rankings which is really helping my overall after a shit start.
 
Got a solid 2068, even with menadue on the field, and got a handy 239K left to spruce up my team. 4-0 to start the season, not bad, De Goey and T.Adams were livesavers today. Adams with his somewhere about 45 point last quater got me over the line. Easy game next week, thinking of downgrading stef martin. Not sure tho, menadue is gone.
 
1974 this round, moved up to 584 overall, should have choosen Goldie instead of Ablett for C, left some points on the bench but a good round all in all

Slow start by Adams gave me a bit of a scare as Captain but more than happy with his 108 (first Captain's ton for the year) and a final score of 2123.

Now my start has been so ****ing bad that that was enough to drop me 18k places to around 16k but it's fun to be going in the right direction at least.


Edit: saying a round rank of 286 :D Is it just me or has scoring been well down so far this year?
 
1917 and won all my leagues. Would have expected a bit more but a lot of players who I expected passable scores from spudded it up. If it wasn't for big scores from Barlow, Gawn and Shaw I would have been lucky to get 1800 and would have lost every league. Which would have served me right as I showed no faith in Papley after his 22 last week and put him on the emergency bench and replaced him with O'Brien(45). Looks like he and Mason Cox will be coming onto the field.
However necessary changes are starting to pile on me. Sam Gray, who looked initially like he would go on from the end of last year is a bust who I want to trade out. Robbie Gray has been a casualty of most of the Port Adelaide midfield misfiring which has meant he has taken the big tags and not had his usual output. He will now have a low cost and a huge BE. Steele Sidebottom would have been a good replacement for him but after todays 144 with his BE of 97 he could be out of my range. Despite his 66 today Merrett is not an option as he had a BE of 74 so will still be just short of $590K.
I have a balance of $187K so could get Jarrad Waite or Lance Franklin to replace Sam Gray. Not sure what to do about Robbie Gray yet.

Funny week, I've been away working and didn't see Caleb Daniel out. Ended up with papleys 107 as emergency though!

2050, moved me up to rank 444 :)

Unsure on trades this week but have wanted to kick menadue for awhile so it might be menadue and S Gray. Could look at Barlow again as he's sure to finally get those midfield minutes with fyfe out...
 
Finished with 1944 and an overal ranking increase

Worst decision I made was trading Barlow for Zerrett and not S. Gray :cry: with Fyfe gone for the year and potential for increased midfield time Barlow he may become a popular trade in player this week?

Giving 3 votes to Heath Shaw - 131 and 22 kicks, that's why I got him in to start with. Kick to handball ratio is very high. Hopefully he can stay close to that 101 avg now

2 votes De Goey - It's been a roll coaster but I've stuck with him and raised the bat on ANZAC Day. Deserves a stand alone 2 votes

1 vote (my other tons Danger, Duncan, Adams, Blix, Kerridge) dragged me out of some under pap scores

Minus 3 to Corey Ellis - Was either going to be him or Menadue for M8, both stunk it up but I won't sit and take 30.

Minus 2 to Zach Merrett - poor start from him but confident he'll bounce back

Minus 1 to S. Gray - 67 from a 437k player doesn't cut the mustard. Should've held Barlow and traded Gray.
