Yeah, basically means you have enough cash and assets to pay any outstanding liabilities/debts, gross debt is just the total sum of debt without considering cash/assets. Net debt is the key for economists, so it's a good spot to be in and looking through last year's figures, Geelong had revenue of $54M, so we are really starting to push up into the mid tier of teams, now we just need to ensure it is sustained.Wondered the same.
A brief google description says it means that a companies debts and liabilities up against its assets and cash on hand leaves you with its net position. Be keen to find out from someone with far more financial knowledge than i if that’s true. Apparently financials come out today so will be an interesting read.
