The fixture announcement has been delayed pending the broadcast deal being signed, but our inaugural match has already been rescheduled from Saturday night on 4 February to another date that weekend. Potentially good news is that we'll still host the game albeit at the Holden Centre.

The veteran American rock star's decision to play a second AAMI Park show in February has the AFL tinkering with Collingwood's fixture for the opening round of the inaugural AFLW season. The league had planned for the Magpies women to host their first match at the Holden Centre on the night of Saturday, February 4.

But it's understood Springsteen's concert that night has led to a rethink, with the Pies likely to host the match in a different timeslot that weekend

I still dont get how Springsteen is more important than us. A washed up old American rock star versus the debut of the truly amazing inaugural Collingwood Football Club Women's Team. Pfft. To each his own, I guess.

(Hope Saintly doesn't read this)

If the fixtures at AAMI park will be allowed to affect the Olympic Park Oval fixture, then surely that's going to be quite limiting?

Or are the AFL suggesting that Collingwood AFLW fans are drawn from the same demographic as Bruce Springsteen fans?

We seem to have done well being one of the 4 sides with 4 home games, but it's a pity that our 2 interstate matches are on Fox.

Guess not Expecting Big Crowds with our Home Games at Holden Centre
Unfortunately they were never going to be at Vic Park; especially the night matches as this was given as a reason for moving some VFL matches. It would have been a nice historic link opening our women's team at Vic Park though.

Plus the Yarra Council are Pain's up the Ass over Vic Park
