THE #22 Jamec Pem Racing Audi of Kelvin van der Linde, Garth Tander and Frederic Vervisch were the fastest in the opening day of track action at the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour.

Idk if there's anybody to blame. I was attempting to be funny.

I'm not sure how big it can be amongst the wider public. The BBL Final is obviously the biggest event. Women's footy had the clout of the AFL. American football has grown in popularity a lot in the last 10 years, that I think it's now a part of even Australian sports culture.

The 12 hour? It hasn't got the full attention of racing fans yet. When it gets popularity comparable to the 1000. Then maybe it can bussle in on it's fair share of mainstream attention. But that's a couple of decades away at least. If at all?

Now that we are getting more of the high profile Supercar drivers racing in the event, And the coverage is growing, the event will grow from it. Very disappointed with the lack of even 1 Ferrari.

I'll miss the end too on account of being at the cricket, but hopefully see enough to know what's going on.

Lee Holdsworth botches it horribly at turn 2.
Forgot he wasn't in a supercar , puts right rear up on the exit - his Audi responds as you'd expect and rotates sending him into the inside wall

Now that we are getting more of the high profile Supercar drivers racing in the event, And the coverage is growing, the event will grow from it. Very disappointed with the lack of even 1 Ferrari.

I'll miss the end too on account of being at the cricket, but hopefully see enough to know what's going on.

I could of sworn we have had vipers in the past.

And it’s the only one out of those events that I’m going to watch.

Chaz looking very very quick.
Shame the old fella team with Skaife, Ingall and Longhurst isn’t in. They actually did quite well last year.
