GWS brought in players like Silvagni,Deboer,Mazughu (excuse spelling) which all played a part in the development and standards at the club
Not all 44 players will be guns and a club does not need them to be - Sometimes the club needs these players who are usually more mature to develop the younger players and set examples of professionalism
Silvagni is at carlton , maybe replace it with Zac Langdon . Sometime players that are undrafted for a few years are more resilience when given a chance in AFL .

Silvagni went to the southern GWS franchise fyi and the correct spelling is Mzungu

Thought there was another player that also went to GWS ?
Nah you memories fail you ,Daylan Buckley , Lachlan Keeffe. To be fair to you Nick Suban did link to GWS as DFA .

2015 rookie draft the club picked up Daniel Lloyd from the Newcastle league
2017 draft L Keefe DFA D Buckley rookie
Sam Reid has been on the rookie list since being redrafted in 2015 after 2 years as player coach in the NEAFL

Get these building blocks in place like Horlin Smith and Miles and the VFL, WAFL and SANFL stars this season so we are more competitive across the pitch next season so we have some hope to sell the end of next season and hope the likes of Ainsworth and Brodie step up in their 3rd season, while keeping our good ball distributors like Hanley on the pitch uninjured. Bring in some high quality youngsters as well like Lukosius, Smith, Rozze etc.

Hopefully clear some cap space end of next season and then look to bring in some better quality players then. I like the look of our list when fully fit and I think we should be solid heading into next season. Hopefully should be aiming for 7/8 wins. I don't think losing Lynch will have that much of detrimental effect, we couldn't get the pill to him anyway.

Really ??? Where / Who are you guys paying the cash too ?
Weller 600k , 4 2016 top 10 pick - 400k in their third year 2019 , Florini - 350k-500k
Jack Martin , Callum Ah Chee ?

Chief executive Mark Evans has tasked new list manager Craig Cameron with fixing the problem by the 2019 season so the Suns can again be aggressive in trade discussions.

The Suns sign were forced to pay a premium for draft picks Jack Bowes, Will Brodie, Jack Scrimshaw, and Ben Ainsworth.

Having to effectively pay a retention premium across the board to players given their managers continually link them to moves south

■ The back-ending of multiple deals after an injury crisis forced the club to pay more in injury payments than initially accounted for, forcing the club to push back portions of some contracts into future years.

■ Multiple players being awarded pay rises under the AFL’s CBA rise of 20 per cent last season.

■ Handing big contracts to some of its experienced recruits among those to come to the club on healthy wages.

If this was / is the case then how were the suns planning on paying Lynch $1.2-$1.4 mil a year as was mentioned and how the hell are they going to match a $1mi x 7 year deal for him now ??

Even more importantly keeping May ?

I honestly cant believe the Suns would be so incompetent with the TPP

Typical player manager trying to drive up llyod price not knowing GC had salary cap issue.

What did Barlow say out of this?
It was a heartbreaking interview.
It's got me questioning if I should renew my membership next year after hearing how he was treated.

Suns will be in damage control if the Melbourne media chooses to run with it.

I'll try and post the video over on the Suns where are they

So glad the old administrators have been moved on, Clayton and Ashcroft seemed to have really hamstrung us. Hopefully this next year we can get this rubbish sorted, Assistant Coaches that Dew wants in place and make a good first of next season with 11 home games.

Yet we have $650,000 to pay to Lloyd
This was a quote from tonight herald sun story about the Suns salary cap issues

The Suns have already knocked back interest in Sydney’s Jake Lloyd, who was seen to want well over $500,000 a season to come north.

I wouldn't try to read too much into it, it is 1 man's recollection of how he was treated. He might not have been treated the best, but he might also remember it a lot differently to how other may do.

However, I do agree he was mishandled unfortunately came in a time of really destabilizing change in the coaching ranks and fell through the cracks. Hopefully there are lessons learnt in all this.

Barlow is an ultimate professional he gives everything he has on field and off.
He said at his exit interview in Freo it was with the coach the list manager and someone else they were open and honest both sides gave feedback at the Suns they had 8 people in the room and didn't let him give any feedback and didn't explain anything.
He called out Dew about lying to the media about being open and honest with him and the playing group said Dew would almost avoid him Barlow said he woke up some morning and said what's the point in even going into the club today
Geez, if it eventuated like Barlow is saying, that is bloody rough, and Dew has a long way to go to build those people skills and being open and honest with players about where they stand.

Usually you will find with stuff like this that the truth will fall somewhere in the middle.

Lucky Mick didn’t go to Geelong.
Chris Scott didn’t even attend the exit interview for several triple premiership players in 2016.
