My thoughts

We have been kissd on the di#k so far shouldn't have finished 4th

The media have been peddling this line too and it annoys me. The ladder is based on form across all 23 rounds, not just rounds 19-22 where poor mid to late form seen us briefly drop. Sure we played weaker sides to push us back up late, but if we played those sides earlier maybe wouldn't have dropped in the first place. Assumedly the argument was created due to WC dropping out in the final round, however for mine that's got more to do with West Coast's early form and Richmond's resurgence, which seen them enter the top 4 late.

Also of the finalists we played the most games against top 8 sides and won the most games against top 8 sides.

Last year was just too much. 9 out of 10 times Sheed doesn't kick that. And then bloody Channel 7 keep showing it. Again and again.

For me Richmond just beat the second worst team in the eight and yet if the Lions had of kicked straight in the first half and went in with a 2 or 3 goal lead then this game could have played out far more differently.

Now I just hope the Lions can sneak past the Giants.
