Taberner started his career at 20, Cox is 3 years in at 20, not a fair comparison

Taberner also went through a different pathway to make AFL, Coz went through the under16 and under18 championships

Actually, you can watch from a car. Kinda...

There's street parking at the Eastern end of the ground on Remembrance Ave. If you can get a spot you could watch from a car. Spots circled in blue.

Not a great view though. A 20m walk would get you right in the action.

You have to get there ridiculously early though and most of the spots around there are taken up by the media. You used to be able to park on that gravel bit and watch from the car but the council has started sending parking enforcers around to stop people from parking there.

Cheers. I might see if I can jag a spot there. My main issue is I am ridiculously pale (like albino levels) and no matter how sun smart I am i’ll be guaranteed to get burnt. The new oval doesn’t look particularly shady so I thought the car might be best.

There is a shaded area on the wing where the main building is.

Sometimes he does. He was in his car most of the time last time I was there. Just look for the crappiest car around and you'll spot him.

Last year the Thursday / Friday training sessions before home games were mid afternoon at Optus. I haven't paid as much attention this year to know of it's still the case.

Their is the upstairs Balcony and the undercroft at ground left, both have shaded areas.

And yes that is where some of the grumpy old fellas talk about their glory days. Nice guys mostly, grumpy just being attached to the olde dudes. Who are olde and just miss understood.

What else do you do when your retired. Beats drinking coffee down in Freo, they have the rest of the week for that!
