AFLW 2025 AFLW Round 7 fantasy trades and discussion (AND ROLLING TEAM)

Halfway through the season.
Some sides, like Collingwood and Geelong have had a horrifically tough draw to date.
Should get easier from here, what does that mean for their players?

On the other hand, North and Melbourne are a class above, and so maybe their draw doesn't matter.

Some previously reliable options have underwhelmed and reach their max price. Other rookies are maxing out and/or getting a rest/getting omitted, so cash generation may be a challenge.

And, most importantly this week, THURSDAY night game, and four FRIDAY DAY games. Please review and plan trades accordingly.

RUC: Take your pick of Strom, Scholz, LWales (?Morphett)

I'm happy with Bowers as my M5.

Going to have to trade Bogue and Boyd. Watching Goodwin and Richards to see if they hold their mid role. It'll take somewhere close to $300K to get Bogue to Barnett. TLR should be pretty much bang on $1M. Also looking at Georgostathis and Heath.

D5 probably a toss up between Heath, McCormick, Chaplin?

Yeah was thinking Paxman, Koenen and Clarke out this round before today, but Bogue and maybe Boyd straight out. Perhaps I'll keep the latter another week since I've just brought her in and see if I can ride it out.

The TOG is a deal-breaker for me on both Bogue and Boyd, but Boyd might have a gettable BE next week. At some point I'm going to have to move Ott. The only way I could deal with all three is to play Clarke/Young on the field for a week and that doesn't seem like a great strat. We'll see how tomorrow's games go.

Will have to trade Paige Scott to a rookie to get the funds for it.

Goodwin is unfortunately going to be $200k pricier at lockout lift.
Scholz (the PITA) is showing a higher ceiling than Strom.

Edit, Hore has GCS. Thought you meant Bowers does.. I'd still do 1 though.

I should be able to afford Goodwin still, any defender that can ton up is worth having imo (playing mid aswell.)

I don't know. I think it's trade her in and hope she plays mid the rest of the year and does well.

There's a reason for her role change, which is enough for me.

Oh, but now that I think about it, when Randall comes back, does Hatchard move back into the midfield, which pushes Goodwin out?

You'd think she's more likely to put up a 72 like she did last week (or even a score like she did in the first four rounds) than repeat the 117. For me, though, having a CBA mid who is capable of a ton is worth a lot. I'd probably stop short of a must have, but let's just say it was a nervous few moments between clicks figuring out if my trades were going to work.

GC do produce inflated results, so I'd say she'd go back down, but the fact that she had more CBAs this week is promising. Her opponent was Rowbottom though, who was GC best player, so they both didn't really do a good job on each other.
