If you want to look at your future just check out the NBA. It's absolutely cooked with no one owning their own picks and players being moved and contracts being dumped left and right.

If there's one thing that destroys any relative value is allowing a crazy amount of picks to flood the market.
And that's not factoring the pick protections the NBA has. The NBA at least has some safeguards that prevents cellars dwellers from further destroying themselves as a result of bad trades.

Can you imagine if new york/Arizona/vegas/browns trade 5 future first round picks and have that trade bomb big time .

That could potentially end up with 1 team getting 3 no 1 overall picks or more in the space of 5 years , simply because there are no pick protection rules in place.

They know the players will fold like always. Sure the PA say the players have "no appetite" for and 18th game. but also said that about 17. Dont think it will happen that soon but by 2030 sure.

Eagles were ahead of the game on getting their structures right into the future, they've done it so well they've only got $200k flexibility. Combined with $20m cap space doesn't leave a lot of room to shuffle the cash..
And they have a stack of dead cap in a few years when the TV deals are redone on void years alone. They are just about voided out for now

Smart move after recovering from what was expected to be a career ending injury to go to a team that gave up 60 sacks.

Old QBs are better off going down the Phillip Rivers path of waiting for a mid season injury for a contender over trying to succeed with a team that has no idea.

JJ gets it. NFL head office and Owners are such hypocrites.

Nothing stays hidden. You don't think the players from other teams will talk to each other about their teams facilities?

Those conversations will eventually come to light , some will become obvious when NFL free agents use quality of facilities as one of the reasons for avoiding a team.

I know the cardinals had consistently ranked 30th or lower for their facilities, some free agents factored that into their decision for choosing not to come to Arizona.

Two thoughts...

Parity a buzzword for the league, but not for this. Billionaires hating spending "unnecessary" money (new stadiums, facilities).

However, how more pampered do players want to be? It's not like practice and medical facilities at any of the 32 teams are 3rd world. All state of the art.

I am pissed about this. God forbid the public be made aware how bad an nfl owner is.

Woody Johnson led the charge on this.

All Because some owners like Woody got their feelings hurt over being called shit by their own players.

should still do the report cards but just send them to the teams/league and have bits leak out but owners need to have them to be held accountable for bad stuff and praised for good things.

Owners should welcome this sort of stuff as it gives incentive for players and coaching staff to want to come to their organisation and helps energise the fan base knowing that the team they invest so much emotional energy into actually gives af.

Or they can do the bare minimum, watch their bottom line grow regardless and go get their names on some degenerate list somewhere...

Apparently Kyler Murray wants to go to the Vikings.

This is going to be a very interesting off season.
Kyler of JJ twice a year.
