21st Speeches...

Don't you hate it when, at the start of the speeches at a 21st, you realise that you need to take a pee REALLY badly?

I love listening to all those stories, but about 5 minutes in I finished off my beer and thought "God I need a pee!". 20 minutes later and my mates old man started his speech and I tell ya, it took all of my will power not to pee my pants right there.

As soon as he finished I clapped once and headed straight for that toilet. Haven't felt so relieved since... well... ever!

Haha, well this 21st wasn't quite like that, but it was still awesome.

Had one last Saturday too and my mate could barely even talk! He was given a 2 litre "beer jug" for his birthday, and from about 8:30 onwards he had plenty of that in his system! Made for a hilarious speech!

Hehe the cowboy hoar was drinking long necks with a paper bag wrapped round em. Have no idea about drinking ettiquete but in my opinion the whole thing just looked wrong!

If the birthday person isn't ****ed enough so that they can't remember the speaches the next day then their mates haven't done a good enough job.

I don't want to be totally off my nut for my 21st in a couple of months so I can at least stay upright and be "articluate". Then after that is finished I'll be getting totally sh*tfaced!

I had no speeches at my 21st, just some family, close friends and a lot of alcohol!!!!! If anyone made a speech I sure as hell don't remember it.

My 21st was a blur, I used to drink scotch on the rocks, no mixers, a friend gave me a bottle of Glayyva, which I thought was just a fancy scotch, so I drank it straight, I still have a photo of my cake, it looked like a chainsaw had been taken too it.

I gave up scotch for 2 years after that experience, I was sick for a week.

Exactly what a couple of mates and I are planning on.

I'll probably have a big thing with friends and a really small thing with family. Hopefully that means no speeches.

Ah, I'll have to do the family thing as well, but it won't be small - there are a lot of us. There will also definitely have to be speeches but they should be more than made up for by the presents.

You would be surprised. The 21st at the weekend was a good example, as my mate had been pacing himself and when he gave his little speech, it was actually really good and he got quite the reception for it.

But after that everyone was getting sh*tfaced. It was a bush party too, so it was all beer, just the way I like it!
