good to see CEY put his hand for a game with 28 touches and 8 clearances. how valuable were his touches though?

and 8 clangers. But should be in next week, and Battersby on stats looks promising.

CEY looked far more imposing than Martin yesterday. He stood out, by standing up in tackles, and looked to not worry about body on body contact either - seems far more mature and rounded in his game than this time last year. Goal in the first qtr from 50 was a boomer too! Atkins with what he did stood out ok too.

Josh Jenksins 0 4 at AFL level.
Booo boo bring back lewis johnston at least he kicks goals.

Lewis Johnston 0 4 at SANFL Level.

Play Josh and play Johnston if he fits the rest of the structure IMO.

141 handballs and lost the tackle count 22 to 37. But, but, but we won the clearances!

The game plan is well and truly drilled into these guys.

I think Martin could come in as a forward pocket or forward flank. He's got a good leg on him. Give him a crack and leave him forward

I must stress, this is my observations only - but from what I saw yesterday, a few points re this. LJ was often double teamed and sometimes had 3 to contend with. We had a very poor forward line, and delivery certainly didn't help. North knowing LJ obviously planned to take him out of the game. Was being roughed up behind play a bit(did him and Matty Campbell not get along when at North?), and his points were from crumbs rather than set shots from memory - but also, not also saying that he 110% busted his guts either. Was a dog day for many.

CEY had 10 clearances the week before from memory too. Haven't seen the games, but he appears to be playing pretty well going by the stats. We're 0-3 and looking awful, may as well give him a game.

Didn't want to create a new thread anywhere for this.

Anyone see the Groeke hit on Brad Symes on Saturday? How many games do you think? I may be a bit bias being a Dogs fan and a Symes fan, but IMO at least 5. The most gutless thing I've seen for a while.

How would this be assessed by the MRP? High contact, high impact, ect. Points? or just straight to the tribunal?

About the 15:25 mark.

Edit: found the discussion in the other SANFL thread.

In the middle or a hb flanker role?

Perhaps off the half back with bursts in the midfield to release Smith into a full time midfield role. Not sure what Yolmen's tank is like these days? Could he handle the running of a full time midfield role in the AFL?
