If you read my post you would have twigged. Now anyone who can do their basic homework on him over the past two years should be able to conclude he was a massive risk 22/44 games and most being meh meh. If you think that 35 possi game was the best of him then I'm sorry , but you have little idea of what a VG game is. He's average , small, half rooted and easily pushed off a contest. He's exactly what the game doesn't want anymore as its after bigger and faster men. A kid like Graham two games from a long term injury will give a better output than this guy. If you had been watching Prestia all year you would have noticed he's sitting out the back on his own more often than not looking for an easy kick. His first 12 weeks have been near enough to useless and if you do it on a dollar value then it amplifies this dilemma.

Prestia gets into the right positions, links up and helps our running flow. He's there at the coal face and he's smart. His knee hampers his kicking at times but his decisions are good. He has been a factor in our improvement and probably about what I thought he would be. Same with Caddy. We gave a lot for him but got a lot for others, swings and roundabouts, and I'm glad we did it so far. Good trading.

So if we are all assuming he will basically not be up to speed this year then we could have put 12 months into a junior on base wages and probably got a better return. He's done more meters than nearly everybody on the park bc he cannot get a kick or win a hard ball.

He has been horribly out of form but he still sees the game well, when he finds form he will be awesome.. always sees the right option and when he's in form will start hitting his target. Plus I don't think he's getting much love from nankervis

My post was in reference to his health,but i will argue improvement with you.

One good game is not improvement and i'm sorry i have to simplify things for you as when you look at improvement you don't pick out the one outlier and make this the emphasis of your results. You statistically look at his previous 44 games bc his is when he started to go off the boil and see if he's improved over the course of the next lot of games.ATM 12 games suggest he hasn't.
Now any body who can make a simple statistical analysis can see he hasn't .Get it?

I still don't understand this sudden urgency that he needs to be a gun straight away. If we took someone at pick 6, 7, 8 they would be having a similar season to Prestia, or even not playing. Take Brodie, Bowes as examples they were taken around where our pick would have been, the former I'm not even sure if he has played a senior game yet. How they progress in comparison to Prestia is what remains to be seen.
We signed Prestia on a five year deal and it's absolutely absurd to start claiming he is a failed pick after half a season worth of games.
He is coming off injury, a limited pre-season and limited training early on in the season.
He has only missed one game this year where people were worried about him staying on the park.
If we could talk directly to Balme, Caracella et al. I could guarantee you they would argue he has improved in his recent patch of matches from earlier on in the year.
If you're expecting immediate improvement after an injury riddled year then you have no idea how recovery works.

Look, he hasn't been a game breaker, and we paid overs. And he isn't fit.

I wish I could find a couple of gifs I had. His situational awareness is unreal. The gifs showed him moving to areas others weren't going to as Cotch picked a ball up. He lost his opponent cold. And he is very, very football smart.

I really hope he gets to 100% fitness. He will never be a bull at a gate, but could become a very important facilitator.

It really really annoys me when you adjust/edit your post after you initially post it. It was fortunate my app hung itself and I have to start the whole post again.

You can still play at the top level in recovery mode. It has been publicly stated that he has recently increased his training loads and that's where the improvement has come. Annoyingly I've now forgotten what the majority of my post initially said.

Anyways, it does my head in when people expect instant results from players on a long term contract. We recruited him with the knowledge he has been injured, so as an employer, I'm sure the RFC would adjust their expectations accordingly.
Five year contract, not five months.

Brodie had 30+ and will be in the seniors imo very soon. Looking very much developing into an excellent mid. If Graham comes on, with Brodie, would have been very nice, and not 2-3 years away either!
I rate Prestia, but needed to find another way to have gotten the deal done.
