It's like some forget what a player can offer when they're out for a while. Reid was adding some great versatility before he got injured.

It's like when Mumford was injured suddenly we didn't need him because we have Pyke and Tippett as rucks lol.
Yep, this.

Shaw shouldn't be written off so easily IMO. It's not like we can't fit these guys back in either. Horses for courses come finals I reckon...

Shaw comes back in and Macca moves to the wing. Easy.

I think McVeigh's form is too good to mess with. I'd keep him there at all costs right now. Shaw's run is valuable but his disposal and smarts with the ball in hand are nowhere near what we get from McVeigh.

I'd use Shaw as a utility/tagger. He can go tag a quick wingman like a Stephen Hill or go into defence and take a small forward. Could even go forward to play a defensive forward role.

With Rohan coming back and Lamb , Membrey showing promise don't think Morton will be at the Swans next year
Agree, tough for Morton now, but let's honour his contribution to the 2012 Premiership, he's worked hard, then and now.

1. When our midfield clicks, we are a hard to beat
2. Lamb, B.Jack, Harry, Mitchell, Rampe....future bright there
3. WC hace been disappointing this year. So many "experts" picked them for the flag.

Depends on his end to the year, hes a handy depth player though

I agree

If shaw comes back he can go tag which he done well, wouldnt move mcveigh hes been awesome and rampe isnt going surely

Shaw is good at kicking in as well so frees malceski up to get that receive from a marked kick in

Shaw kicks in no doubt playing to himself, goes wide mark by pyke or mummy dish to malceski hits a leading white or reid hands off to hanners who hits tippett lace out and that seals the flag

Sorry went off course

Whats your thoughts on this weeks game mate I like your predictions

I like what i see with the tigers.

I think they have more options than riewoldt forward, jack presents us with a big test but id back our defence to cover their targets and whilst theres talent in the middle i think we are better.

Ruck will be a strength for us, pyke and mumford should win there, tippett on rance

Look the tigers match us well and will be harder than the eagles, i say swans by 4 goals mainly cos the scg suits us better than them

We cant afford to drop any games going into our last two

If you do the ladder prediction with the side currently higher winning we finish 5th so we cannot drop these games

1: Starting to like Jessie White and it is worrying me, seriously though if someone on this board told me he would be performing like this 4 weeks ago I would have laughed at you.

2: With the youngsters we currently have coming through the NEAFL must be a lot better than I thought it up to be.

3: Top 2 is still a possibility, starting to get a tad excited now (which is not good as I am on my way to work).

Was White that good? He struck me as "not terrible". Some of his defensive efforts seemed particularly lacklustre.

It was a really good Jesse game. It was a slightly below average Goodes game. Such is Jesse's career.

But what I really liked was him taking strong contested marks and following up on ground balls with a big of vigour and intensity particularly in the first half.

He hasn't secured his spot yet in my eyes but he's heading in the right direction slowly.

He would have been really tired... Never mind
Yeah, sorry, I'm trying to keep up with your dazzling wordplay. But the unfortunate fact about BF is that some of the postings are so brain-meltingly dumb that genuine sparkling wit sometimes goes unnoticed. :thumbsu:

Wow that's real stubborn on your behalf! Watch the replay again without the hatred towards Jesse. Listen to how many kind wraps he received from the commentators.

Jesse ain't getting dropped for the rest of the year mate so start feeling it :)

Jesse hasnt got the latitude to play one avg game, he knows that.

I agree with not moving McVeigh, he and Mal have gelled well and would be risky to move McViegh back to the wing. Plus Shaws disposal by foot is not as clean and classy as McVeighs. On the weekend the eagles had the ball inside our def 50 and they were applying pressure. McViegh had the ball under pressure and instead of just bombing out of the 50 with a high ball ala O'Keefe, which would have been marked by an eagles player, he kicked it low and hard into the ground which then slammed into an eagles player and i am sure we locked in for a stoppage outside of the 50. Have to watch it again but at the time i thought it was brilliant by McVeigh.

Those small things makes McViegh the player he is and why he has been brilliant down back. Smart with each disposal.

Plus he seems to be the general down back now.
