i like this, bottom aged when drafted, good height and mover.

Could be a future third tall or HBF and is by all accounts a great kid (and a blues fan IIRC).

Planning for a doch and newmanless future should have this guy in the squad

Obviously we didn't get to see a lot of him at the VFL level last year because of injury. But his junion and training videos shows that he has something about him that translates well into the AFL system. He's obviously impressed at pre-season training this year.

Sounds like he was very overwhelmed in year 1 and turned it around. Shows good character.

It does. Also shows how much the boys like him with Doc & Newie taking him under their wing and really showing him the way to give him every chance. Looks to be a solid choice.

"It’s exciting times really, because ‘Jeff’ commits to the contest. Aggressive at the footy, aggressive at the body at the right time and aggressive with ball in hand. We’ve only seen a couple of months of it, he’s early on in the stage of his career but for what he’s showing so far it’s quite pleasing.


"He’s in really good hands with the leaders we have there. Nic Newman has had a lot to do there with his development, he’s learning the game but we certainly like what we see because of his characteristics around the want and the will to defend."
