Strange night in some respects, with Ten coming Fourth, which is amazing with Australian Idol over 1.5m and Rove over 1m, ANTM really hurt their 6:30-7:30pm slot as it didn't even reach 700k, a terrible result.

The Incredibles was a big hit with over 1.3m average over the 2 1/2 hours, which is a great result and a great move by Seven, it beat 60 minutes and took viewers off AI, ye Backyard Blitz benefited from ABB absence winning its timeslot.

Diana held up strong for Seven and Greys did OK, yet it would've reached over 1.6m if at a better timeslot, Monday night seems to be the favourite.

60 Minutes had a decent number and CSI held over the 1m mark, forgotten with all the other shows on.

The ABC also had a great night with Worst Jobs and Midsomer Murders pulling in the numbers once again, it is really great to see an ABC show beat all its opposition in the 8:30pm Sunday slot.

No wonder 10 came 4th, hopefully the show goes down on a steady decline.

They will stay 4th once Idol starts to get boring again - most people watch to see the people making fools of themselves

Idol did quite well again, with Border Security down about 200k, and Surf Patrol falling to below 1.3m. The Queens Castle didn't fire with a poor 787k, and Nine still have next weeks one :D

Criminal minds did well and L&O: SVU came second in the 8:30pm slot with 1v100 falling to third.....Enough Rope won the 9:30pm slot over ER which did well and Shark, who fell off last weeks premiere.

Seven should win tonight and should hold strong for Wednesday with no movie. I think it'll be another close week as Nine will easily win Thursday, but i haven't seen Saturdays line-up, the day that will decide the week.

Good figure for Futurama as it was a repeat, and for SVU at 9:30pm beating Shark and ER, but Enough Rope beat it (ABC).

181k in Melbourne for FC is down on previous weeks, they said at the start that they would have to or wanted to average over 200k in Melbourne for the 'series' if it was to be a success.....or in other terms, it would avoid being boned.

Great numbers for both Medical Emergency and for RSPCA AR....it is clear that ME is the preferred one of the both.

CIA did very well with a fairly ordinary lead-in, an excellent 1.126m for a 9:30-10:30pm show, it definitely helped Nine secure second spot as Seven took out yet another Tuesday.

With Seven and Nine slightly fixing Wednesday and Tuesday respectively it should be another tight week, i guess it depends on how 'The Force' or whatever Seven have on after 8:30pm tonight rates.

Btw- good to see Futurama doing well for repeat episodes, almost the same as Neighbours.

The week so far:

That's why i thought Ten would do everything they could to get the Sunday twlight game but I guess they had Big Brother on in that time slot.

Sunday Twilight would be great for Ch.10, although not every week, it would be good if Ten secured say 5-10 twilight games and gave Foxtel 5-10 Saturday arvo and night games...although then Foxtel could sell them to Seven because Foxtel already show Sat arvo and night games.......:D:o How confusing...

Good win to Nine once again on the Thursday, Getaway slightly down as the Simpsons repeats rose slightly on their horrid ratings of last week.

Sea Patrol steady at just under 1.6m as Las Vegas struggles once again.

Criminal Intent had a decent number for a repeat as Law and Order passed the 1m mark which is excellent for Ten in the 9:30pm timeslot.....i think it may have hurt TFS with it down (slightly).

Another close week, you'd back Seven though as they will win tonight and shouldn't lose Saturday by much, if at all.......although i haven't seen both networks line-ups for Sat night.

The week so far:
Seven: 27.4%
Nine: 27.0%
Ten: 23.5%
ABC: 16.8%
SBS: 5.2%

Seven will be in an interesting quandary when its 'big' Thursday shows start back up in the US in September. Do they bring back HIMYM/Earl/Lost (or Heroes even!) and try to counter Sea Patrol, or do they move them to less dangerous territory? SP skews old but not exclusively 55+, so there's at least some market there for Seven to latch onto...

How badly did the Footy Show in Sydney rate?

Good to see That 70;s Show still doing well

I'm not sure but by the figure on Thursday night it would seem it was down on the week before....the real problem is Brisbane, it doesn't rate well there at all.

Anyway, here is Fridays figures;

Friday
Seven: 31.9%
Nine: 25.1%
Ten: 21.3%
ABC: 16.6%

It seems Better Homes has really picked up in the last few weeks with a huge 1.46m last night.....even with other big AFL games on in previous weeks it hasn't really fired in Melbourne, yet last night it reached 457k...quite odd.

Jamie at home and Its me or the bitch tanked big time, terrible figures.
But a good figure for Matt Damons B.S reaching 1m....

Other then that a pretty normal Friday night.

Good figure for Gump, and a decent figure for the AFL, with a very impressive 347k in Melbourne, i didn't think many would watch a WC vs Richmond match.

Afternoon AFL figure wasn't great though, although who, besides Perth would want to watch St.k vs Freo, even the Melbourne figure was fairly poor at 202k

790k for Who isn't bad, but is a little diappointing.
Looked like being a bad episode, but turned into one of the best since the series' rebirth.

How the f**k does Dame Edna get 935k? Its about as explicable as The Wedge getting more than 0.
