Gone for a mature age recruit in Jayde Van Dyk with our next live pick, apparently upset at missing out on the other Dutchy on the board.

22 years of age, represented the Hawks in the VFLW this season. Tall, rebounding defender, VFLW rising star and part of their premiership team. Meets two of our list needs smartly.

As Jimmae noted, Jayde provides something we really need with out top 2 key defenders gone: height and youth. However, being a slightly more mature 22, she will probably be a started for round #1. That is a big plus.

A lot has changed for Van Dyk in that short space of time, particularly in the last year.

She joined Hawthorn's VFLW side, won a premiership, claimed the club's best and fairest, won the league's Rising Star award and was recruited to Carlton via the NAB AFLW Draft.
