JAXSON BARHAM
#43
#43
Number: 43
Height: 182cm
Weight: 74kgs
D.O.B: 20-05-1988
Debut: Yet To Debut
Career Games: 0
Career Goals: 0
Medium midfielder with a good endurance/speed combination. Jaxson displays a wonderful ability to accelerate away from the contest once in possession. A late developer who played as an overage player for the Falcons in 2007. The son of former Magpie great Ricky Barham (151 games from 1977-86), Jaxson was selected by Collingwood as a father/son pick (No. 61 overall) in the 2006 AFL Draft.
Draft history:
2007 AFL Draft 4th round father-son selection (Collingwood) No. 61 overall
What national recruiting manager Derek Hine says:
He's got natural speed, his kicking's efficient, he needs to do a bit of work on that. He's got a natural endurance base, so the way the game's being played these days, he's certainly got the attributes to play at the right level.
The short time he's been at the club, the work that he's been doing with Alan (Richardson), Gavin (Brown) and Brad Scott, they're really encouraging signs where he's really making some progress.

What Mick Says:
A more mature age recruit in that he's already 19. He didn't play a lot of games in the Under 18's last year, but his path might be similar to that of Tyson Goldsack in '07, even if the same amount of senior games might not be realistic.
