5 Games in and where do we stand?

First five games have been positive, other than the loss to West Coast. That was a bad one.

A win next Monday would be further justification for optimism in the playing group and game plan.

It is a united club with a clear goal and method for achieving it. This should excite any Pie fan. There are going to be some tough periods coming up.

We should have confidence in the coaching staff and players to continue the positive development these early games have shown.

This team could push for a lower 8 finish as some as 2023.

"Pretty handy" seems about right to me at the present time. They're both obviously talented youngsters and both willing to learn. Another 50 games into both of them and they'll be "Really Handy" lol.

You have to remember that I'm old! So I've seen lots of "pretty handy" youngsters over the years.
Bob Rose was a beauty right from the start, Greening was UNBELIEVABLE and Daicos Snr was a complete player from day 1. To me, these young men still have a little bit to learn but I love watching them learning don't you?

I think I am about half a generation behind your “ youthful” generation. Greening I saw , albeit all too briefly , sad for all especially John himself , absolutely ripper guy also , which makes what O’Dea did. make my blood boil

I reckon we could push for a lower 8 finish this year - if we get lucky with injuries and can keep our heads in close games and start winning them. It's one of those years where I'll go into most games thinking we've got a good chance.

And we coughed it up against the Cats.
And we were nice but soft against the Weagles.
