5 straight and playing Collingwood at the MCG next Saturday.

It's absolutely fantastic to see our young team develop and gain in confidence, but we wont get ahead of ourselves just yet... taking it one week at a time... bring on the Carring Bush next week at the MCG!!

Go Cats!!

And lets see who you won them against:

Melbourne:You won by 26. WOW, Collingwiood beat them by 53 points if I remember correctly.

Carlton by 4: Bottom of Ladder team.

Sydney by 2 points: Not exactly travelling nicely when you played them.

Richmond: Bottom three team.

West Coast: Have they won away from home? Oh yeah, 1 point against the bottom team Carlton.

Ok then, mate, lets see how the Magpies have faired against these teams:

Melbourne: "Collingwiood beat them by 53 points if I remember correctly. " Is that true, hey? Well done - I'll give you that.

Carlton by 4: "Bottom of Ladder team." Yeah, they are bottom of the ladder - AND COLLINGWOOD COULD NOT BEAT THEM! (Even a team as crap of Richmond got closer to them than you!!) :D :D

Sydney by 2 points: "Not exactly travelling nicely when you played them" - Hmm - they were not travelling nicely when you met them either - and you only just got over the line against them at Colonial Stadium when they were playing away. We had to contend with them at THEIR home ground (The SCG) on the occasion of Wayne Schwass' last game. Not to mention the fantastic effort in comeing back from 28 points behind in front of their home crowd in the last quarter to win it

Richmond: "Bottom three team. " Yep. And Collingwood could not get over them. How many did Richo kick against your mob again?

West Coast: "Have they won away from home? Oh yeah, 1 point against the bottom team Carlton." We beat them convincingly. You only JUST got over them by a point.

And I guess when we beat you guys, the excuse will be 'Collingwood - when they were due for a loss'

MagpieJoel,

It's probably a good idea to quit while you're behind mate... never a good idea to make ridiculous statements without actually looking at the statistics first!! ;);)

Go Cats!!

And I might hasten to add, based on current recent form, the Cats are the hotter team.

Cats = 5 wins on the trot
Magpies = just 2 wins in a row (but 4 wins out of last 6 games)

Cats are full of confidence, and at the right time, too.

Another reason I think Geelong will win comes down to another intangible-- overall squad fitness. The Cats had to play at a peak level for all four quarters last week to beat West Coast, while Collingwood slacked off in the final term at Footy Park last week. (Granted, the Magpies had that game well in hand at three-quarter-time, but maintaining the same level of intensity would have allowed them to perhap clip Brisbane for 2nd place.)

Once again...

Cats by 20.

Cheers,
William

Pretty close pick you_idiot!

Thanks! I didn't think it would be much more than 20, really... but we'll take it. :D

I'll apologise in advance-- I may be an incorrigible soul for the next seven days as Geelong prepares to take on Essendon... wow, two blockbusters in a row! And a top-four place... does life get any better than this? :D:D:D:D

Cheers,
William

Well done Cats, thought I better come in here & give you my congrats on your win, evidently people thought I would go missing after the loss, but that isn't me, I can cop it after we lose, I am just annoyed that I have to wait till tomorrow night to see the match on the AFL site, how lucky are you guys that we gave you Bomber. :D

OH a word of warning, looks like Karl is about to return to the Catters.
