I think that would have just been a formality, as soon as we agreed to a deal Swans would have traded pick 9 with the Blues. So our deal with Swans would have been conditional on Swans having that pick.

i agree he could have made a statement last week and didn't.

i mean, sure he made a statement in trade week saying he wanted to leave, and a statement thereafter saying he wanted a lifestyle change, and a statement in that he was unhappy and frustrated at not being traded... perhaps hes all statemented out?

...but those statements were not acceptable, we want a statement more inline with our core values
