Pick 7 is a really big success when you factor in the output (lack of) that we were actually receiving from him.

Don't think I could possibly wish him a single shred of luck and I'm pretty confident we'll all see that his inability to rehabilitate his injuries had a lot to do with not wanting to play for us.

Also must say, I won't miss the utter anxiety when he is kicking for goal from anywhere other than inside the goal square.

Now that we have a resolution I’m pretty happy with the way this has played out. Joe was wishy washy last year as were the Swans and got the results to match, now he gets to a club in a position where he gets to challenge and we get a pick commensurate with his ability. It’s how it should work.

I wish him all the best, hopefully the Grateful Dead are able to tour QLD next year as well to really complete the Bill Walton career parallel.
