Handmaids tale and Veep seemed to be the big winners in the two main categories

The Handmaid's Tale is actually the first streamed series to win Oustanding Drama. Probably why I'm a bit surprised it actually did.

Westworld very unlucky not to get more recognition.

I've got a feeling it'll make up for it in the future. That show's going to be around for another 7 seasons.

SNL continuing its status as one of the most overrated shows of its kind on TV. If it wasn't for its long history and tradition, it wouldnt be talked about

****ing Trump. Those satirical skits they do are about 3 minutes of each episode

Don't really care for the rest of the awards and I did hope Bob Odenkirk could steal a win (BCS is a quality, quality 'spinoff' show that has almost surpassed its perfect original source), but glad that John Lithgow picked up for playing Churchill in The Crown.

Masterclass in acting from the goofy dad in 3rd Rock from the Sun.

he seemed to me to completely change character halfway through that which I didn't like.

Was kind of the point of the show - how the justice system fails people and how jail changes you. It was like an accelerated version of Oz.

I am glad Atlanta and Master of None got some recognition (for directing, acting and writing) but I am questioning whether people are still watching Veep or just voting for it based on re-runs from three seasons ago. The stranglehold seasoned shows have on the comedy award is disheartening.

Elisabeth Moss seems a Best Drama Series lucky charm. Add Handmaid's Tale to the 4x opening wins of West Wing and Mad Men. I recently started watching Picket Fences, and was surprised to discover she also has recurring appearances in that as well (so double digit Best Drama Series wins). S1E2 opens with her bringing a dismembered hand to show-and-tell, already recognisable and with that unmistakable look in her eyes. First time I've seen her prior to Girl, Interrupted/Zoey Bartlet. Top of the Lake S1 was also a best Miniseries win.
