IMO it was a strange selection. Granted he is definitely the best 6th man in the league and makes an instant impact when thrown into games but he only came off the bench for a 3rd of the season.

For 25 or so games he started in place of the injured Bibby.
For 25 or so games he came off the bench.
For 25 or so games he was injured and didnt play.

3 25's are 75 so throw in the loose change of 7 games and he only came of the bench for a 3rd of the year? But despite that I have no gripes, clearly the best 6th man in the league.

So who were the contenders. Kirilenko was pretty productive for the Jazz.

AK47 was great for the Jazz, then their was Van Exel in Dallas, Williamson in Detroit, Redd and Kukoc in Milwaukee.

Probably the right call in the end just a little dubious as to how much time he actually spent as a 6th man.

Malik Rose had a great second half to the season.
I really envy the Bibby/Jackson set up that Sacramento have. It works very well.
