What does this all mean?

Well we can put it into a little more perspective.

51,840 minutes...... 3,110,400 seconds....

I prefer the 864 hours.

This is when our 2007 season begins. Against Essendon at the Dome in just 36 short days!

Lets forget about the off field drama and focus on why it hurts so much anyway.

It's about pride...
It's about belonging and believing in the cause.
It's about hopes and dreams....
It's about respect.

We had it. We lost it. Now we MUST regain it!

It is time for the regeneration and exhuberation to begin. We have seen glimpses amidst the acres of pain. We have seen development.

Am I just feeling confident? I don't think so. Sure, 15 other clubs should be feeling the same way. But the continued injection of Y + D + G=W

(Youth + Development + Games = Wins.)

Is this our year for the tide to turn? Has 5 years of pain been enough? Ask the rest of the competition and they will say no.

The Carlton Brethren know what is happening. We know the generation of a football 'team' is well under way. We have plenty to look forward to BlueBloods....And what a 'team' it will be........

We will remember the pain. We will remember where we have come from. We will never forget the depths of despair.

But our time is nigh.....

Enjoy the ride.

And once again enjoy going to the football like seasons well and truly passed. No more will we be the cellar dweller. No more the ugly duckling of the competition...

Enjoy your youthful, highly skilled team. And if you have not done so yet, become a member. Say you where there when times where tough.

For you now deserve the fruits of your labour!

This club belongs to you! As you do to your club.....

Live, love and prosper Navy Blue!

Excellent post linchpin, you have stirred me up.....

I can't wait to see the blue boys brush the Dons aside and then head down here to Tassie for the second round.

There's too much at stake for us not to win this year,

The pain and suffering we have endured needs to be eased, the coach has a point to prove. The kids are keen as mustard to prove themselves, all is shaping up for a fair dinkum go at the NAB premiership, the money would be ha bonus and the respect earned would be handy too,not to mention the fact that it would be a perfect start for the club for season 2007.

This year holds the promise of a new begining for our once mighty club, the only way is up,and this group of youngsters IMHO are the right boys to put us back on track....

As already mentioned....

Bring it on

Guys....

Could it be the 'Butterfly Effect'????

When it all comes down to the final straw....

Like the Swans and the eagles.......

Is it about the most skilful or the best?

Or who wants it more............

I say fook them all................

We want it all!
