Congratulations to the GFC management for prudently guiding the club to its 9th consecutive net profit. The Addie reported:
"Brian Cook earlier announced a net profit of $52,585 for season 2008, the club's ninth consecutive surplus. The club enjoyed an operating profit of $1.216 million but wrote off $1.163m in assets following the demolition of the Drew Stand".
For those of us who remember the dim dark days pre Cook, this is an astounding result. Someone will write a book about it, if it hasn't already been done!
