Not sure if anyone's done this, but I've started a season with Hawthorn to try and rebuild them into a Premiership team.

First Season:

Finished 16th: 6-16.

Axed 8 players: Barker, Dixon, McCabe, Tallis, Scott, Graham, Holland.

Got the courage up to trade Crawford after an AA year, only for him to retire.
Flunked out during trade week, not landing 1 deal - offered Pick 1 for Judd, Goddard and Dal Santo.

Picked up Jeremy Patman (on-baller) with the No.1 pick.

Picked up Lockyer, MacDougall, Notting and Scott Welsh in the PSD.


Second Season:

Finished 16th - 5-1-16

Axed 8 players: Beaumont, Boyle, Clarke, Cox, Dawson, Greene, Lekkas, Kane.

Traded Pick 1 and Hay for Dal Santo.

Picked up Cole, Koulouriotis, Cam Croad (worth a punt) and Pat Bowden in PSD.

Just about to start season No.3!

It's great fun. (though if I finish last this year, I could be gone :eek: )
 
Haven't been able to purchase the full game due to living overseas (only way to buy is with cheque, which I don't use.) However, I've led Freo to first place, first time I played it. Ended with a good list,
Out - Troy Longmuir, Daniel Haines, Clive Waterhouse, Jeff Farmer, Troy Cook.
In - (funnily enough) John Barker, Leigh Brown, Josh Carr, Robert Copeland, Chad Morrison, Tim Notting, Byron Pickett, Phil Read and Chris Scott.
Would like to see how that pans out.
Then I played Carlton, took them to first. And resigned, hahahahah. Took up contract with Richmond, fired Gaspar, Stafford, Kellaway, Chaffy, Rogers, and picked up,
Matty Carr, Luke Webster, Shaun McManus, Shane Parker, Clive Waterhouse, Justin Murphy, Craig Callaghan, and Prendergast. And that pretty much says why I'm not a coach. But I would like to see how that would pan out.
 
i started off with hawthorn and then finally took them to a premiership in 2031. HAHA. In between i coached Richmond, Geelong and Melbourne, then returned to the hawks in 2030 and won it in 2031...now i can see many more because i have an unstoppable unit for the next 5 years salary cap permitting.

What did you lose to get those guys?
 
Corey McKernan, a second and third round pick, John Baird and David Stevens. Rest assured I managed to keep Wells, Motlop, Harvey, Rawlings and Colbert.
