A new PSX 2 thread

Had a look around today at the best prices for a PSX 2 console, controller and memory card.

The best I could find was probably David Jones which has a console and Gran Turismo 3 for $499. The contollers are around $59. Has anyone bought one of the cheaper contollers? How do these rate?

The memory card is a bit of a killer really, approx $68. They also have the entertainment pack for sale with PSX 2 which seems pretty good value.

Anybody know any cheaper deals?

Get an x-box
Me and 3 mates played halo for 8 hours yesterday.
Simply one of the best games ever created.
800 dollars and u get 2 controllers and a game.
If your going to spend 600-700 on a ps2 why not spend that much on a x-box.

Yeh Sabre I saw them but there a bit out of my price range. PSX2 will do me fine.

Na I think the $499 you said for the PS2 was pretty standard mate. Wait a while and MAYBE the price will go down!

I actually saw a PSX2 advertised for $469 somewhere the other week. Quite good since most are around the $499 mark.

Is it Big W that offers a 10% if you find a place that sells it cheaper than they do? If so, there has to be somewhere cheaper and then with the 10% they should knock off $40 off the sale price.

Or as The Power Guy said, they should come down in price during the year. How much and how soon is anyone's guess!

I got one about 2 weeks ago GoEagles. Just wish the games were a bit cheaper.

i_luv_westcoast, yeah the games are very expensive here in Australia. They are cheap if you get them in Bali or Thailand (usually PS1 games for $1 and PSX2 for $4) then all you need is a chip installed and they work fine!
