Reseachers in collaboration with the School of BioSciences at the University of Melbourne have made a major breakthrough by formally identifying the dangerous toxin which is produced by the brain of Carlolton supporters
The toxin, known as "Carltoxin" slowly yet systematically destroys Carlolton supporter's brain cells by dissolving their internal protein structure.
"It is one of the strongest poisons known to man – many times more toxic than that found in Richmuntoxin and also the Colonwood venom." explained one of the lead researchers ... "In all cases seen so far Carltoxin causes acute permanent brain damage, thankfully though it only affects those who identify as being a Carlolton supporter and cannot be transmitted."
Whilst there is currently no Carltoxin cure the research has shown that if a Carlolton supporter stops identifying as being a Carlolton supporter then the brain damage can be limited .... though unfortunately any previous damage inflicted to the brain of ex-Carlolton sufferers is irreversible.
