Just a quick comment from me. I want to wish your club all the very best for 2013 and beyond. You have become one of the most highly respected clubs in the competition, and I love what you stand for as an organisation. Our two clubs have had some epic contests over the past few years, and IF we meet again on Grand Final day, I would not begrudge Fremantle the premiership if they deserve it. IF, as expected, we get a Hawthorn-Dockers Grand Final, I will become an honorary Docker for the day.

Good luck on Saturday night against Sydney. And I wish you guys all the success that is coming your way over the coming years.

Hi mate, cheers for the sportsmanship we wish you all the best to continue the kennets curse, even with the personell issues your team has I still think it is winnable you have enough midfield and small forward power to score your defence has to keep 2 people quiet roughead and franklin and ensure hodge doesnt go free in the back half (forward pressure) which has been lacking in the cats this year.

Whatever the case I would love to see you choke the life out of Hawks and win but if you cant do us a favour and go out fighting with their big guns so MRP can have a field day. Go out and agrovate Franklin or roughead etc.

I think Buddy can be turned :) have a word in his ear at the beginning of the game and he'll go to ground. He doesn't appear to have any other offers on the table. Just sayin....

the Greatest Team of All..."

Nah, you guys are alright. MUCH prefer you lot to the self-entitled Hawthorns of the West, the Wee Girls. Good to see so many Freo fans make it down to the Cattery as well the other week, the banter was thick, fast and pretty f*cking funny, especially with all the added toilet humour and innuendoes that go with a day at the footy.

Glad to see there are Cats fans that don't absolutely hold us in contempt. ;) Good luck for tonight - I'd never write you off, but if you don't get up, I hope you push Hawthorn to the very edge.

I hope our record against Hawthorn gives us a real chance. But Hawthorn seem primed for a big night. It feels a little like 2010 when we got belted by Collingwood. But we are always ready for the challenge. I hope we get up.

I certainly don't hold the Dockers in contempt. I have been a big fan of you guys long before our two clubs were rivals, so it would be unfair of me to suddenly change the way I feel. Plus, I have a hatred for West Coast for beating us in the 1992 and 1994 Grand Finals, so any enemy of the Eagles is alright by me. Plus, Ross Lyon is my favourite coach in the AFL. His footy beliefs are a big part of the reason Fremantle are so respected now.

I really love the way you have become a force, you play hard footy, but you're fair, and respectful. Some other clubs, when they are strong, lose sight of these things.

I think you'll find a few us becoming Docker fans if we don't get past Hawthorn. However one drunken night I realized I knew how to sing pretty much every team song except yours...Ill come back Sunday for tips if necessary.

In my opinion, the margin in that 2010 preliminary did not reflect the true difference between the two sides. Geelong were arguably as good as Collingwood that year, with as many wins and much better percentage. But Collingwood had two weeks to prepare for that game, and came out hard against Geelong, somewhat reminiscent of the game Fremantle played against you in finals last year, although a much more dominant performance.

I am of the belief that had the qualifying final in 2010 between St Kilda and Geelong gone the other way, Geelong would have been 2010 premiers.

Even the GWS and GC ones?! We've cut out most of our original song anyway, so it should be a breeze ;)

C'mon the Cats! Would love to end up with a GF between our two sides.

Yeah Geelong v Femantle Grand Final works very well for me.

yeah it would be so nice to bury the remaining 99% of "entitled arrogant" Cat's (supporters and team) in a GF :D

If we make it of course - never ever underestimate Sydney

I was at Simmonds for the QF a fortnight ago. We had beers before and after at the Barwon Pub accross the road. Had countless good mannered coversations with Cats fans prior and after. Also on the train back to Melbourne.
It's funny how a couple of knobs on BF can cloud your judgement of en etire club/town/region.

The publican down there even went and got my wife a glass of Savignon Blanc. Chardonnay was the house win, and we aint no West Coast, lol. He was a great guy (Greg if my memory serves). He nearly purchased the 3 Bears pub in Dunsborough a few years back and his good mate owns the Settlers Tavern In Margaret River.
Anyway, would love anothe Freo vs Cats stoche, cmon Catters!

My uncle, bless his recently departed soul, was born and raised in Geelong and was a Cats man through and through. I remember cheering for the Cats v the Pies during the 2011 GF, and had a soft spot for them. However, some Cats fans on Big Footy last year and this year really dented my goodwill towards the Cats, big time.

Glad to know that they don't all hate us with true spite.

Had family move to Geelong when i was very young and before we immigrated to Oz. Spent a few summers in Geelong in my youth and have been back over the many years since participating in certain sporting events as well as watching the odd footy game. Due to those connections I used to follow Geelong in the VFL and then AFL and as adult lived in melb for several years, all prior to FFC. Geelong is quite a diverse place culturally - as a regional centre with a once larger industrial base it is a little like Bunbury but with many of our other south west aspects merged in and it breeds its own character traits through its many demographics. Everyone has their own impressions of locations and peoples based on their experiences, and I have my own over very many years both good but also some bad and I will say also some very weird experiences of Geelong. In relation to footy whilst you have the traditional long term born and bred footy team followers there is very definitely a large bandwagoning set through their recent fairytale era and no doubt a large proportion of those that post on BF are of this set.

Blatant and obvious fish for "likes".

... I gave it one anyway.

Cheers and hope your game goes well too!

No, not at all. I'm not interested in likes, I am only interested in having my say. Just because I'm not a Fremantle supporter, doesn't mean I can't support Fremantle.

Was being facetious. Forgot where I was for a moment - also don't use smileys much.

... :)
