They are tanking to accelerate their rebuild. Jettison some talent and load up on good picks in the super draft
What a bloody pick up. Really rate this bloke beautiful left foot run and carry and pace to burn!

North are bloody nuts delisting this bloke

Mullett has a number of strengths, decent enough pace (not super quick though), kicking, long kick of the footy, top 5 rebounder last season, natural winger, goal kicker and is a hard worker.

However, his decision making under pressure is poor (which burns you in defence), is weak one-on-one, has little scope of improvement left in him, his disposal numbers stay the same (don't increase much beyond 20 a game), his ground ball gets aren't great and his body work is poor for a defender.

His stats suggest a good year, but he's a solid depth player more than an outright best 22 player. He got as many games as he did purely due to long-term injuries to Marley Williams, Nielson, EVW, MacMillan and Wright, all of whom are better or have the potential to go past Mullett's ceiling. His age was also a concern at North as we look to get younger guys in who were pushing Mullett for a spot late last season. He would be purely depth for North next season, so it was a case of letting him go for a bit more opportunity.

As for the other spuds and old farts on the North list atm, a few are contracted till next year, but are definitely out the door. Guys like Anderson, Swallow, Waite, Thompson and Thomas will be gone by the end of next season, merely because they are contracted for next year and are needed purely as depth, not best 22.

How is he at crumbing? On a physical level is he often battered? Looks like he kicks long so hopefully there will be 'minimum Chips' on his shift. Hopefully we've hooked a Good One here blues. (anymore fish jokes?)
I've heard he has a habit of kicking it long down back, but short around the sides.
