Matera didn't even make it. Unless you are a name midifelder, an unaccountable defender or power forward you have to have a ********ing brilliant year to even be considered.

The most outrageous thing about the side was selecting 4 key forwards and not picking Lloyd.

Ablett was great this year, but i don't think he shouldve been in the all australian team, thats why hes not.

Ablett not making the team didn’t really surprise me, however I expected that Cameron Ling would be an inclusion.

Kirk's had a good year as well, would rather have liked to have seen Ling get the nod ahead of Chad Fletcher.

Ling and Kirk was probably a toss of the coin, methinks that Kirk got in on last year's performance (don't ask why).

Ablett shouldn't have been picked - as someone else said, Phil Matera didn't even get it.

Fletcher deserved it.

Fletcher and Ling's numbers were remarkably similar. I think Fletcher won a little bit more of the ball, whilst Ling took a HEAP more marks (finished top 6 in the league for marks) and kicked twice as many goals.

Fletcher had a great year, but if his year was good enough to get him in, then Ling should definitely have been there.

Kirk was awsome this year.

Fletch had a good year, but i didn't expect him to get in the AA. Not because he didn't deserve it but because i didn't think his profile would have been high enough to get noticed. I personally thought that Ling should have been in the team and was stiff to miss out, but then again i thought Matera was a shoe in for the FP - so that just shows how good i am at picking the AA team.

On Ablett, he had a pretty good year but i didn't think he was AA. He'll have plenty of them by the end of his career though, he's a real gun.

Abblett was still a bench player last year

he has come a long way, but he is so young and got so much time ahead of him, no big deal

he will be in the team soon enough
