What do people think? Would Adam Gilchrist ever return to play for NSW, or is he too firmly entrenched in the Perth lifestyle?
I've often wondered about that.

Actually...I used to work with Stuart McGill right up to when he packed his bags and went east... he wasnt a bad bloke at all and he comes across a lot worse on TV than he actually is. Suppose that happens when you have cameras there to catch every expression you have.
Even when he was only a part time player for WA he was certain he was going to crack the Australian side. Competing against the best Leggie in the history of the game is the only thing that hampered his number of appearances.

NSW did give WA Stuart Karrpinen [sp?]

Not unless you count the ACT as part of NSW. Karppinen is Queensland-born, and started with the Canberra Comets.

Western Australia's one Test wonders Matthew Nicholson and Paul Wilson are both born and bred New South Welshmen.

What about WA people thanking us Redbacks for Blocker Wilson. I find it amazing that WA can find a spot for him but we couldnt yet we still persisted for the first half of the year with Harrity, Miller, Smith

Doubt Gilchrist will be going anywhere. The test players never get to represent their states (adopted) anyway these days.
