Thought he showed a bit of promise in the first quarter. It was his first game and it takes most players a while to adjust to the pace of the game, let alone the big blokes.

And big blokes take longer to develop....

He looked OK in the first quarter then went off for a long time, so when he came back on he lost the rhytem and speed of the game.

Disagree that he was slow, he looked quite alright in terms of leg speed, will be good for us.

Stafford in next week though, Patto to get apprenticeship at Coburg this year, have a Pre Season then take on the world!!!

Yeah I disagree. When you get a chance IITB go and watch a couple of Coburg games. He is neither slow nor cumbersome. He also has a good leap on him.(i think he finished top 10 in the AIS) tests.

He'll be right dude.Hardly had any game time.

All due respect IITB , but FFS ..... " ONE GAME "

I`d hate to have my whole career swinging on one performance ( figure of speech )

I agree that the kid will eb fine. I sat right behind the goals and purposely watched him early on. His reactions and positioning and reading the play are great. Probably tried a bit too hard at the beginning of the game but thats understandable. Think its also relevant that the flood isnt an ideal scenario for a tall to display their skills in. When in the forward line none of our other talls stood out either.

Tambling looked pretty ordinary in his first game too.... (just to put in context how little it means)

He's a big guy which don't start showing signs until their early twenties. Shultz hasn't shown a hell of a lot yet, yet we're all dying for him to be up and firing. He'll be fine. Far too early for me to tell who he'll resemble. Spider Everitt? Dean Cox? Michael Gardner?

Any thoughts Weaver?

Yeah fair enough. Not trying to be too harsh but he just looked a little slow and lumbering.

More ruckman than key forward for mine.

a tad premature to be making assesments following 30 min of game time.in game 1..big fellas can take some time to come on ...FFS Benny gales took 4 seasons...in recent years Fevola is a good example of a big man that finally produces the goods..

reserve your judgement young fella

Did nothing wrong really.

Reminded me of Ben Holland
