One of his relatives told me at the start of the year we were wining and dining him to come over as a coach. Dunno if its a good or bad thing but hope its not just a case of every team being fooled into thinking all hawthorn coaches are brilliant without exception. I remember not too many years ago it was the case with magpies coaches too and that didn't turn out too well

He will only move for a head coaching job IMO.

We shouldn't compare him to a Collingwood coach. He joined the Hawks in 2012 and they have made the GF every year since including winning 3.

Real issue I reckon attracting any established assistants.
Hardwicks head is on the block (assistants usually get moved on too) and an unattractive game style will make it tough getting anyone of note

I guess the draw is that you might get a chance to prove your worth as a caretaker coach. Kind of like Ratten did with Carlton in 2007.

In all fairness both excellent gets. Monty has caused some grief at a couple of clubs but in the industry is talked about a ready to go AFL coach.

Caracella is a coup. Known to be Geelong tactician specialist the players talk highly of him.

Very nice. Caracella is often credited as the man who made Tom Hawkins. Hopefully he can support our young tall forwards in a similar way
