What has impressed me the most about the club this year has been its ability to win games in different ways each week. For the last few years we have become very predictable, get on top of the midfield and stop Matera and we lose. For the first time we are able to win with different Game plans.

Adelaide- Slow uninspiring, low scoring Game. Were able to arm wrestle all day and rotated players in the forward line until we found a winner which was Embers.

Geelong- Man on man hard running footy. Mainly talls kicked our goals.

Freo- High intensity. Were able to out last them. All talls kicked our gaols

Western Bulldogs - Were able to overcome early flooding tactics and won a high scroing shootout. Our smalls kicked all the goals as the talls struggled.

Brisbane- Just awesome man on man footy. Dictated play and run them raggered. Even spread 13 goal kickers.

Sydney- Wet whether footy. Swans flooded early we held our ground then as they tired over ran them. Smalls kicked most of the goals.

We now can adapt and I think you will see a different style again down at Tassie.

Totally agree.. I think we've just gotten to a point where a lot of the key midfielders are experienced enough to adapt as the game goes on.

Against adelaide, when we were belted by the flood early, you could almost see the midfielders putting their heads together and thinking 'how do we beat this ********?'... against Freo when we were under the pump the same thing happened. Today, after an uncertain start we adapted to the conditions beautifull.

I love that we don't panic when things aren't going our way- we've got thinking footballers who change the way they play to suit the game.

Good point.
The lads are mentally stronger too....its allowing us to win close matches.

I think they backed off in the last quarter tonight. Smart play in saving people for the big matches.
