Gone for the season. Shoulder Reco. Should be back next year fit and firing.

he's alright but got injured in the twos, shoulder i think and will miss the rest of year like the 15 others.

It's his second year so there wasn't much to expect from him but IMO he has done around par. He knows where the ball is but i'm worried about his kicking

He's a player we haven't seen anything near the best of yet. I think the club could have given him more of a chance to play games out of a forward pocket but they are deliberately trying to mould him into a midfielder. They were (and righly so) gentle with him in his first year when he had school, but unfortunately missed a heap of preseason with hip surgery. So they've got him under the knife early this year and hopefully after a big preseason he can push up with his highly touted draft mates in Morton and Grimes. His best 2 games this year were a skillful game against WC, and a hard and tough game against the Saints.

Yeah he's out for the year.

I rate him really highly though. With the exception of his first game this year, I reckon he has shown he is a smart footballer with good disposal and fantastic recovery/awareness. There were passages in the midfield where he'd attack a loose ball with an opponent, they'd both fall down, but in a flash Maric was back on his foot, scooping up and the ball, and taking off. I see glimpses of Gary Ablett Jnr in him. I reckon if he can build up his tank he could be a borderline elite midfielder. Big call, but I think it's possible!

I think the Morton, Grimes, Maric drafting combo is going to be a masterstroke in a few years. They're all really really talented players, and I hope their bodies dont hold them back from what I think they are capable of.

look it's n2b on snaps shots, set shots ain't that great and his passes are quite poor. Well thats just my view on him

Couldn't disagree much more. Maybe you just saw him in that shocking Geelong game?

Sometimes struggles with his decision making, being a youngster, but his set shots, and field kicking in general is very, very good.

With a bit of experience and confidence, his foot skills will be classed as elite.

I agree with the points that you have raised, yes.

Wat a $hithouse, poorly researched rag of a paper the herald sun is:
http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/sport/afl/story/0,26576,25919799-19742,00.html

MELBOURNE ruckman Addam Maric has been fined $5000 for breaking the AFL's strict anti-gambling rules. The Demons went to the league and confessed Maric had placed a $100 bet on an AFL match for a friend.

This 3 weeks after Stevens wrote an article about how Melbourne are going to leave Robbo 'stranded on 399 goals', about 2 months AFTER he already got it

AFL and gambling is all over the place. Maric did the wrong thing but then handed himself in, if they haven't suspended at least half of the $5000 that is rediculous. I know we hear a lot about how much AFL footballers earn but $5000 is a fair wack for a guy on his first contract, who is only 1 wrong move from a career ending injury.

On the other hand, half of Queensland loaded up on Saucehead Merrett to kick the first goal at over $100 against the pies, a clear sign of a rediculous leak of information and yet nothing gets done. The same thing happened with the saints v hawthorn game. Plus tanking and late changes.
