Hi guys-

I'm going to Adelaide for about a week or so. I usually work in the United States and have to keep up with friends, work, etc. over there and the only time I can be in contact with these people is inconvieniently during the night hours here in Australia.

I've found 24/7 internet places in Brisbane and Melbourne which has worked out wonderfully well (Cyber Zone in Brisbane; much love -- Cydos in North Melbourne (across the road from Queen Vic Market - peace to you guys, not nearly as good as the Cyber Zone, but cheap and nice staff).

Anyone from Adelaide (or been to Adelaide) know of any 24/7 internet places? If its in a surrounding suburb then thats fine (if its not TOO much out of the way).

The places I've been have charged about $20 for 10 hours. Cost doesn't really bother me though.

There are a few cafes in the City but I'm not sure about 24/7. I would think it unlikely that you would find any in the suburbs. Try the Yellow Pages and ring around?

Thanks for your help guys... Turns out that there is a place upstairs where I'm staying that I get access throughout the evenings and all the way through the night.:)

Though the pcs are too slow to play World of Warcraft. Just need to find a place where I can play that.

I thought this was a thread bagging Adelaide. I'm very dissaopinted.

To answer your question nothing is open in Adelaide 24/7 unless you include their low quality women. BTW they're in a different timezone so don't forget to set your watch back to 1982.

Funny, I could name a dozen things that are open 24/7 off the top of my head. But ofcourse, coming from interstate you know a lot more than I do, considering I live here... right?

They have absolutely no idea. There's a On The Run store opening down the road from me and that's open 24/7 along with the Subway and servo.

But yes, you idiots fro interstate have no idea what you're talking about so I suggest you shut your mouth and don't make a fool out of yourself like this little tool MeeSo just has.

That's so true. We do have the best chicks.

disagree melbourne has more of the 'mixed' types which are very nice. Although as you get out of the inner city it could be boganish territoraty so who knows. Its a good line though, just_maybe would use it all the time with great effect, because half of the fools that have claimed to have been here havent and dont know any different. Perth ppl seem to another lot who say the same thing to compensate living on the other side of the planet. Nothing special there either.

Possibly a little harsh, but living in Tokyo now, when I go back to Adelaide, yes, it does strike me that nothing whatsoever is open late at night.

I've been to Perth, Melbourne and Sydney all for more than a month. I've seen the sights and I still feel Adelaide have the best chicks, followed by Sydney. The only place I can't judge is QLD (Tassie/NT do not count because they are Tas and NT)

If by 'mixed' types you mean asians/mixed-race then certainly.

i've only been for a about a week in each place (and havent gone out of the city in melb either). So you may be right. Regardless adelaide holds its own no problems.

Before I came to Adelaide I had only been here when a basketball team I was either playing for or watching had come to town. I must say, while there isn't many things that are open late the few things that are open are exactly what needs to be open.

Yes, there is a need for someone to open a 24/7 internet cafe (it would be full of people 24/7 - the places that I've been to around Australia have been) but that withstanding Adelaide is a well managed place.

By women, I'm sure you're either kidding or you really have no clue. There are some absolutely gorgeous girls out there. All I need do is walk from where I'm staying down to Hindley St (about a 5-10 minute walk) and from about 6am to 2am I can see as many beautiful girls as I can anywhere in the world.

For those of you living locally- I dont know the name of the street that joins Hindley St (the first major intersection down Hindley St away from Rundle Mall) there's a concenience store on the corner (Rundle Mall side; theres another one on the corner across the road too); I'm not sure what days she works... but wow, theres a gal that works there that is absolutely drop dead gorgeous. She wears really risque clothing to work usually too. ;)

Adelaide is a classy place. No, its not Melbourne or Sydney. It doesn't need to be. It has class and doesn't have the big city "King ********" feel to it like Melbourne and Sydney do (I was brought up in Melbourne too).
