Should Norwood be given an AFL Licence as was 'promised' in 1996 for 2006
Port Adelaide were given the right to be in the AFL then and back then there was not a vacant space for Norwood to gain entry and were 'promised' an AFL licence regardless of vacancy or not...
Anyway this thread is more about 'Should AFL be played on Adelaide Oval' (My opinion is yes there should be AFL played on Adelaide Oval) providing a third AFL team in Adelaide become vacant... If every single Norwood supporter jumped ship from the Crows to follow Norwood there would be plenty of people to maintain the Crows regarding there huge waiting list and there would be more than enough supporters to have a viable Norwood side in the AFL easy !!
Since both the Crows & Power use AAMI Stadium there should be a third Club because we are the second strongest Australian Rules state outside Victoria and can support more than 2 teams no matter what anyone says !! 3 at most though... and that club should use Adelaide Oval which is a very capable venue to host AFL and have enough people to attend that would still do better than most Victorain clubs as far as turn out and support !!
Other factors to include AFL at Adelaide Oval are :
The Ground is extreamly scenic and shows the beauty of Adelaide
The Ground has a very good capacity
The Ground is historic
The Ground caters for a family atmoshere
The Ground is central in Adelaide and easy to get to via Public Transport
