Food, Drink & Dining Out Adelaide...

Looking for some advice on places to enjoy a night out in Adelaide (inb4 'nowhere' gags) - a few mates and I are travelling to Adelaide to watch the Test, deciding on between two places to stay at the moment (both within walking distance of Ad Oval).

One is near O'Connell St and Wellington Square, there other is on Waymouth St.

Which one is the better located for froffies?

(Hoping for actual Adelaidians - I can do a Google Maps search myself..)

Do the security guards still scour the line and look for borderline 16/17 year old girls and let them into the club ahead of everyone else?

I've never been in there but it always looked like that was happening when I walked past....

How old are you? If you're going be on the cans all day the cricket and then looking for just a few to finish you off and perhaps have a quit bite then I'd stay in North Adelaide. Plenty of pubs which include the Queens Head, the Archer, the Wellington, Oxford, Caledonian, Royal Oak plus plenty of joints to eat at.

If you're a bit younger and looking to party all night then you'd be better to stay in Waymouth.

21 - I'm probably more inclined to do the former, but the boys I'm going with are mainly inclined to do the latter!
