Install adblock. I've never had any ads on BF.

I use Firefox with the 'noscript' plug in. Just allow bigfooty.com, no other scripts. No ads.

To be fair, I dont mind the idea of ads. Everyone has a right to make a living.
It was just the full page ads that gave me the shits.

But I worked out I was browsing / reading with my cursor too low on the screen.
A smart move to put the ad there really as they have limited the page size and they'll get a click (that wasn't intended) more often.

But it's subliminal in it's methods.

tools and page info also allows you to block ads and loading other images.
